***First off, if this is against the rules feel free to delete it. And if this is the wrong forum please move it to the appropriate one. This question is for harm reduction reasons ***Thanks

Would it be safe to make homemade "blotter" using IPA. I wanted to make phenazepam blotter, so I could have it on hand, and safe to take. I was going to use over sized pieces of watercolor paper (much much bigger than a blottler hit of acid), and make doses of 500ug each. I just wanted to know, if I can get it to dissolve in 99% IPA, after the alcohol is evaporated will there be anything harmful left over? I know it will dissolve in propylene glycol, but PG will not evaporate.

You can test your IPA for purity by just putting a few drops onto a white or clear plate, evaporating it, and checking to see if anything is left behind. If it leaves no residue, and you completely dry the blotter paper of the IPA, I would say there are no harmful leftovers and you should be good to go.

I did exactly this, with phenazepam. Only I did not use watercolor paper - I used folded pieces of joint rolling paper and when dried up, I rolled them into gelcaps - allows dosage control as well, a little more messy than good blotter paper but I had none at the time. You should definitely experiment with the absorbancy of your paper before proceeding with the actual application.
