Question about heroin.

I'm somewhat of a noobie when it comes to heroin. I never knew anyone who messed around with the stuff until now. My question is about the stuff I bought today. It tastes absolutely horrible to what I'm used to, but the quality is pretty high. It's black tar and I just smoke it using foil and a bic pen. This is the first time I've seen this happen, but after a couple hits I'm getting this white residue on the inside of the pen on the side I'm inhaling from. Anyone know what it might be? Just looks like white powder.
 
If it's not what you are used to seeing it's possible it was cut with something or a different substance all together. As all we can do is speculate, we don't do substance IDs here. Closed. PM any questions.
