ok so my friend was asking me if i think its safe for him to get a test kit. i told him id post here to see if i could find out. as far as i could tell its not illegal or anything, but he was under the impression that the government could flag you if you buy a test kit or something?

could someone inform me on this. and is it safe to order and get shipped to your house?

thanks

It's not illegal, and the government doesn't flag you for buying one. Theoretically I've heard it could be considered drug paraphernalia but I've never heard of any incidents involving it.

A test kit is perfectly legal to have. You can have it with you pretty much anywhere. If anyone were to ask you about it, all you'd have to say is you have in interest in chemistry. They can't question that.

ok so his main concern was its 100% safe to buy with a credit card under his name and ship it to his house?

Yes - they are not illegal or restricted. The goverment will not contact the company who sells kits and ask for information, the credit card company will not report the transaction.

Your friend has an interest in organic chemistry and wants to see how certain household items react to such a kit - Asprin, Sugar, Vitamins etc.

Before you buy a kit please check the link at the top of 'Pill Reports' as we have a new supplier that is cheaper than EZTEST but sell the same kits.

What about across US-Canadian border?
Has anyone here in Canada ordered a test kit from the US?

thx

Several people have ordered kits from the UK to Canada before with no problems at all.

The worst case scenario is customs would just withold your kit - you cannot be charged, fined etc for ordering a kit.

Yes I know the solutions are acids and really shouldnt be sent through commercial post but that really should be down to the shipper.
