I have some Mucinex Dm and the active ingredients are 1200mg of Guaifenesin and 60mg of DXM HBr. I have done some research and i found i out that DXM is not water soluble but Guaifenesin is, but before i do try this i want to make sure that my facts are right and will cold water extracting be the best way to go?
If DXM isn't water soluble I don't see how a CWE would help in this situation. Do you just plan on draining the Guaifenesin into the water and keeping what's left in the filter to take hoping it's all DXM?

Problem is the gunaifenesin is also hot water solutable.
I tried this before with cold water befor i saw this chart, i tried eating all of what was left in the filter the first time made me sick out of my mind no puking though. The second time i did it again with cold water and drank the solution.. all i can say is if the drink taste doesn't make you projectally puke the guaif. will.
