I keep being told in terms of simplicity, Cielo could be the easiest tech to extract pure mescaline out of the cactus as mescaline citrate etc. My question as a beginner, and learning
chemistry about the Tek's, where its debatable, to learn, and try to ask opinions. I pasted following tech links and tech variations::::
The link:
www.reddit.com/r/mescaline/comments/1j6bfty/kashs_ab_mescaline_extraction/
In that above link a commentor posted, I put quotes:
"You don't need to boil the cactus and can do a STB. However you will need a larger container like a carboi jar to hold everything since you can't use seperatory funnel until you salt the xylene."
He goes on to say:::
"I wouldn't call one more effective than the other both have pros and cons. Try cielo... many love it. You can do kash much faster if in a rush. Add high lye solution to cactus... add xylene and mix carefully to prevent emulsion.
Remove repeat a few times. Then add you salt solution mix and evaporate... I think evaporating will take longer than the actual extraction."
In above comment He says that's quicker and faster then cielo? He is directly doing an acid / base or a STB with just the acids and bases mixing?
He mentions Kash and I think Kash is heating, boiling, seems he's only heating with pure bases as A/B mix rather then boiling on a stove. I understood that to take more time?

Commentor posts: " Every one claiming cielo is easier, conveniently leaves out the part where you have to dry and powder the cactus. And can only do 100 grams at a time.
I get it if you can’t find NPS where you live but making tea basifying it, extracting with NPS and salting with hcl can be done in a few hours without any fancy lab equipment,
a couple mason jars,and a glass turkey baster…and at about 20$ cost."
When I asked about comments like this, the answers and consensus seem to be Cielo in terms of simplicity versus Kash tech ,a liquid A/B tech or that above comment? Due to liquid, soup, heating, boiling issues taking longer time?
I'll call the following the milk jug extraction, following seems similar to cielo? , except with vinegar?:::::
"""Proceed: add cactus powder to milk jug (cut top off for easier access) and add enough water to get the cactus moist, the trick is to not add too much water.
Once the cactus is wet add some picklng lime, like a tablespoon or two per 250g of cactus and mix around well and let sit for 30 minutes or so..
add some d-limonene (about a quart per 250g of cactus) to the jug and let sit for a few hours or days.
The limonene should form a seperate layer on top of the cactus. siphon out the limonene and add some vinegar, not a lot,
like 10% of how much limonene you used. Seperate the vinegar and limonene and evaporate on a low temp setting.
You have just done a mescaline acetate extraction. The best part is the whole ordeal is food safe, your area will just smell like citrus from the limonene.""
The above is a dry powder ab tech it seems with vinegar? Similar to cielo?
In terms of "dry power STB" ( straight to base ) extractions,
is STB possible with dry cactus powder for pure mescaline salt extract?,is that liquid only?
Is there an STB powder tech that could challenge cielo simplicity? I found these variations thru research.

In that previous link above, it was a modiified tech, and the poster mentioned doing a STB variation, this seemed to be agreed to be more complex then cielo tech among the posters. I believe his background was dmt extractions.
A poster at above link mentioned: "Dont do acid base. Do stb if u must use a "ph dependant method" Don't use any of those nonpolar solvents" He is saying to do STB when using a "ph dependent method". When he says " ph dependent method" I am wondering the meaning here?
Is a ph dependent method an acid base extraction?
