So I am getting clean and Sober- at one point in my life I had 5 years ckean and sober and I want that back! I am having real trouble staying Clean even though I have the honest desire to quit heroin is a bitch- before I sobered up last time I hadn't touched opiates (was a meth addict and MDMA plus benzo addict) I'm starting vivitrol next week along with 12 step meetings and therapy. Here is my question. I am 27 6 ft tall weigh 220 I used to be in amazing shape while sober- I was a competitive bodybuilder exercised 5x a week a diet was on point the reason I brjng this up is because I slipped and hve been smoking heroin for the past 5 days... I have teo be 7 days clean for vivitrol so I'm forcing myself to stop. The amount used was about .5-1g a day. I am in a halfway house who randomly drug screens (I know insane right? Why keep using? But like I said I have never face this before and honestly do want to get clean hence why the vivitrol and 12 step meetings) I don't know about my metabolism I haven't worked out in a year- but I was in great shape. Now do you all think if I drink like 1-2 gallons a day and stay away fr fatty foods my system can be clean in 2 days? I think I metabolize opiates quickly because I go into withdrawal quickly and always drop eq after 3 days. Any thoughts or advice would be Appreciated. Like I said I want to quit and just want to know if high water intake plus a low calorie low fat diet would help move the opiates out of my system quicker. I am going to start exercising but I'm so out of shape- I can't jog more than 5 minutes without becoming very winded. I used to be able to go for several miles :/. Weights I can train for an hour or so heavy and I know that can boost metabolism but will that make a difference in two days time? I say 2 days because although the drops are rand I think I will be tested soon. If I have broken any rules I am sorry and did not intend to. Pls let me know. Thanks .
