Question about dextromethorphan and death

Could DXM alone be enough to kill someone, not a dose above 1k like a high 2nd to low 3rd plateau dose, of just dxm no other active ingredients, are there any reports of death from that dosage? Thanks!
 
I took up to 2gs when i had a kilo sack of the lab grade stuff. Sad its gone. But you should be fine.
 
Erowid states the risk of death at 2500mg+

I am having difficulty finding the human ld-50.

It is a CNS depressant, so of course you can OD on it.
 
Maybe what we should be asking is: what is the lowest dose possible to produce this drug's "perfect storm" scenario?

Some contributing factors:

  • enzyme issues that cause sensitivity to DXM
  • low body weight
  • drugs or nutrients (in foods or otherwise) that increase DXM's potency in some way
  • ?
Feel free to add more if you've got em!

A few times now I've heard that "dose under a gram and you'll be fine" stuff, but I'm not sure I believe it. The odds may be low, but we cannot discount a scenario in which too many key factors lead to tragedy with less than a gram.

Damn seriously a kilo?? If so would you happen to have an alias that rhymes with Bubbly? thats where i got all my DXM powder from but a kilo is a fuck ton. i would hurt myself with that much. lol.
 
there are some stories about DXM overdose deaths on one of the DXM websites online....if i remember correctly they were from around 3 g and up.

some of the deaths were from ONLY dxm as the consumed drug
