I have been on 20mg of Cymbalta for five days now. I take it in the morning because if I take it at night I can't sleep. The only problem is that I feel soooo drowsy all day! Does this feeling of drowsiness go away over time? I'm coming close to finals in school so if it looks like it's not going to to go away I'd rather know now so I can go off this medication instead of riding out the drowsiness. Thank you!

I think there's no way to say for sure..everyone's chemistry is different..
I've 2 friends who both are Rx'd cymbalta..
one of them gets very drowsy and had to start taking it at
night..as she could not function through her nursing school.
The other always took it in the morning, as her doctor suggested and
overcame the drowsiness w/in 2 weeks, as her body became used
to the chemical.
I know the stress you're under now..and honestly, if it's only been five days..
I'd probably wait until finals are over and then begin my dosing again.
But I'm a nameless poster on a web forum..

Really- you need to talk to your dr..and explain your concerns.

Thank you for replying so quickly, that helps alleviate a lot of my concern, I'm going to try to do what your friend did and take it at night
