question about contact high

awhile ago i heard that you can get whats called a "contact high", where if u come in contact with someone high, you could feel what they were feeling (somewhat).

im trying to take a break from rolling, and so far ive been good about not taking the pills i have stored. but my friends wanna roll this weekend and i said id just come and make sure they didnt do anything too stupid.

So is it possible that contact with these people will ruin my break? and if so, will this affect my tolerance?

i feel ridiculous making a thread about this but hey, thats what BL<3 is for
 
Getting a contact high from being with somebody will not ruin your break or create tolerance to MDMA. You are not guaranteed to feel like you are rolling just because you are hanging out with them, although some people seem to "feel" the vibe more strongly than others.

If you decide to take a pill with them, that will ruin your break :)

Indeed. No you won't have to worry about this ruining your break. When people talk about a contact high they are describing being so caught up in the moment with the intoxicated person(s) and the environment that they might start to feel as though they are on the drug as well.

Personally I've never really had this happen from hanging out with others while they were intoxicated. I've felt very "lifted" from listening to certain tracks of music while in a certain state of mind that I could see being what someone feeling a "contact high" might feel.
 
Contact highs are subjective and nothing actually happens such as the transfer of chemical. It all just feeding off the vibes of tripping friends. if they're all super happy your not likely to be grumpy !
 
placebo affect can do wonders! the last event i went too i didnt roll but when everyone took there roll i pretended to take mine, i took some magnesium instead but in my head i got the idea i took a "roll" and when they were coming up i felt as if i was coming up also. its crazy how powerful the mind is. maybe youll be lucky enough and get some flash backs too
 
It will do nothing to your break or tolerance BUT be warned sitting in a room full of rollers and not popping will test your will power to the max.

If your going sober and want to get the best out of the experience - make it special for them, set up a brilliant playlist, buy various gums, drinks, menthols etc. I swear that if go out of your way to make them feel brilliant then you will feel amazing :)
 
thats kinda like saying if you were starving to death and your friend ate a burger you wouldnt be hungry anymore

well my druggie friend said she couldnt kiss/touch her boyfriend when she was rolling cuz her saliva/sweat could be absorbed into him and it'd show up positive on a drug test (she said this with TOTAL seriousness)

He or She honestly didn't know, so they asked. Why the hell should anyone feel ridiculous about having the nerve to ask what might be viewed as a silly question to further their knowledge? More people should do this instead of acting like they know it all or choosing to live in ignorance.

This is exactly true with pets. IDK if any of you guys roll with your pets around, you'd swear they had gotten into the stash.

It's like the moment the pills kick in the pets get all hyper and crazy and loving and cuddly, almost annoying because they get all needy from effection, and then when you're properly rolling balls they just look even cuter than normal and u cant help petting them. it gets to a point where like where I've been like "dude, make sure the pills are where they're supposed to be" LOL. They were, and all accounted for, but it was funny :p

Pets have a keen ability to feed off energy, nothing more, nothing less. They feel it. Some humans feel it stronger than others, but from my experience pets feel it stronger than all. I mean I'd swear my pets are rolling several times, and accounted for all pills, every time. Just funny. My cat gets EXTRA rubby/energetic, and dog won't quit running around, wont leave me alone. it's cute, but it gets annoying when you are trying to get some glowsticking going :p

I don't think they had a single mg of MDxx in their system, nor did they gain any tolerance :p

I think it's quite amazing how funny they act with people who are rolling.

this is another thing my friend told me about. she started petting her cat and she said it like turned into the cutest thing ever. which led me to believe that you could somehow get the drug into ur system. butt now i know=D

this one party i went to i swear this dog started rolling after a fuck ton of people on e were petting it
before the event some guy was saying that when you sweat rolling all the MDMA comes out
at first i was like bull shit
then a couple hours into the party i saw the dog freeze up on two legs
everyone was just like WTFFFFFFF
true story
 
as for the contact high yes you can get one you wont feel like your rolling ballz but you just get more lovable and it gives you more empathy for others
especially if you smoke weed with people that are rolling titz
its all subconscious

What an asshole. I'm sure YOU never have any questions that seem ridiculous to anybody about anything. In the past I've asked questions that, in retrospect, seemed retarded. I expect to do it in the future. Sadly, not all of us are the coolest person in the room.

OP: A contact high is your brain fooling your body into thinking it's taken a substance. Just a variation of the placebo effect really. When some really serious bass hits in good dubstep I always get a little micro-roll that sort of washes over me. The situation you're talking won't do anything to your break at all. Congratulations for being responsible and taking care of yourself.
