Question about Ambien CR

Just curious, I got these NASTY NASTY NASTY tasting 12.5 CR yellow ambiens (they must purposely make these things nasty so you won't crush them)

anyways, just curious how the time release worked on these...? is it on the shell or in the pill itself or does anyone know?

I google-searched "ambien time release mechanism", the 6th link down has information on what you need.

I don't believe linking to other forums of this nature is allowed (due to this being HR-based, and others not), otherwise I'd post the link that I found here.

But the basic thing I read, is that there are two parts to the capsule, like adderall almost, but a bit different. I read that the differences are in the physical casing and easily noticed just by looking at it. In adderall 1/2 the beads in an XR capsule are extended release, whereas the other half are immediate.

Anyhow, check out google if no one else posts anything good here. You'll find what you seek.

Sorry to highjack! But I'm goin to try and get my dr to rx me some. How do u take it rec wise? Open the capsules and drink them down or just take the capsule as normal? TIA!
 
i don't remember ambien being pleasant tasting - not nasty nasty nasty but not pleasant; certainly not tasty and minty like klonopin
maybe the cr's taste worse.
