I abused meth for a while- probably a year or so. During that time, I got really paranoid. I haven't done any meth in 2 1/2 years but I feel like I still get paranoid and anxious. What's the deal?

So, no one has anything at all to say about possible long term after effects of methamphetamine abuse? I have read that meth possibly changes one's brain chemistry therefore the post acute withdrawal symptoms can last months to years.

im currently experiencing the exact same thing , i quit about 10 months ago but had a couple of shots 8 months ago . since i started using meth i immediately got really paranoid but not anxious , eventually i just became an anxious paranoid psychotic mess but it still feels like i have minor symptoms of psychosis all the time , and alot more so when i smoke weed . i hope it goes away eventually :/ it does change ur brain chemicals , i dont remember how but i think its related .
