I apologize if this topic has been posted before, but I couldn't find another post on the subject. I was wondering what would be a good line to tell my doctor to score some benzos? Would I just say that I'm having anxiey attacks? I don't want her to recommend a shrink or anything. Thank you!

If you want them, go to a shrink. Complain of anxiety and panic attacks. Do NOT say that you are depressed. Say you can't stand them any more and they're interfiering in our everyday life. As PhreeX said, if they give you some Paxil or Zoloft, take them with a smile. But in a few days call and complain about nervousness. Don't actually take the SSRI (paxil, zoloft) though.

If you're, say, under 25 say you suffer from frequent panic attacks along with anxiety on a regular basis.. they will probably give you an SSRI - this is what you want, because in 2 weeks call and say it has helped but makes you nervous and shakey.. you will eventually get a decent dose of benzos to accompany your SSRI .. and be willing to start small, because you're NOT going to get a high dose of ANYTHING - forget the dreams of Xanax bars, blue Valiums, or anything like that - you may SOMEDAY work your way up to a high dose, quicker if you play your cards right, but you will start out on a SMALL DOSE - this is fine, you must walk before you can run...
Or search google groups (formerly dejanews) for "The Art Of Scripting" (by PhreeX) ..
