Bluelighter
When the pulsing of the lights matches bass,
And the figures in the distant lit windows,
Start to dance, and the cycles match
The pulse or even waves of nausea,
Then turn to watch the KHELIDON,
Take flight, from spring, like an open parenthesis,
Speckle skies like an auguric omen.
The eyes don't tear when you sweat all moisture,
The eyes don't tear when you tighten tourniquets,
No llora cuando no te dola,
In hell there is no Ixion or Sisyphus,
Only the patient burning, lusting, in penitence,
And I spoke with the shades on your tier of the mountain,
They weep and go singing, awaiting spheres of heaven.
Jumping upstream, tame the ox to hunt the hare,
In yellowed grays of old teeth and photographic plates,
They come, baiting blood, and start to speak,
They dose tongues in sacrament, who wish to speak.
*KHELIDON is greek for swallow, it fit better metrically =/
**Title is "although you wished me ill", in provencal =/
