I would like to stress: I Am Not Sourcing! I am wondering, however, when you all find the items you're interested in, do you get small quantities in a plethora of items, or try to get larger quantities of single items, as that tactic typically stretches your dollar a bit farther? So many compounds with so much potential.... *le sighhh*

...For the collection, but with compounds like 4-HO-MET or 2C-C that IMO are great to do more often I like to have a good stash.

It's pretty simple: the more obscure the drug and the more peculiar (and not entirely pleasant) the effects, the less I want of it. The more all-round win the more I want of it to stretch into the future.
It is not so much a function of how rare a drug is (unless that stipulates unreasonable prices or limited quantitative availability), however a lot of drugs are rare because they tend to have weird and unreliable effects that are often interesting rather than wonderful.

Small plethora, but for a few chems like k or real LSD or 2ce I usually stock up as these are my definite favorites.

I'm the only one of my friends that really has a "stash" (also the only one with any knowledge on drugs, really) so having a good quantity of some of the better chemicals is important, otherwise all can be gone in a single evening With LSD having a vial around just gives you so much more freedom with dosages, and with extractions it's just not economical to do small batches. I also like the idea of not worrying about "scoring some" when I feel like doing drugs

Not that I dislike the explorer side of things (I love it, in fact) but I'd rather be covering the spectrum a bit so I always can do what I want. No sense dosing 4-Aco-DMT when I just want something recreational

I'll pick up small quantities of some compounds (usually the ones I intend on never trying such as 25B & 25C) and larger amounts of tryptamines I intend on trying.

At the moment I only consider 4-AcO-DMT to be stash material.

Having just got into the RC world I share some of your 'le sigh'

On one hand you want to try everything, to find out what you like, so you don't want to go buying a shitload. The minimum amount of 2c-e I could buy for instance was 250mg, enough for 10-16~ trips depending on your dose (after taking 16 this weekend Im going to step it to 20, so im looking at 12~ total). Now if I had hated it.. well now Ive got 200mg+ of useless powder.

Ontop of the rarity factor is the (il)legality factor.. I liked 25i quite a bit, and with nbomes being recently banned in the UK, and now in many states, it only follows that the sources of these chems are soon to dry up. So even though I haven't tried 25c, 25b, etc yet, I still want to get a decent stock because I feel like in the next year or so we're probably not going to see them anymore.. this may be different for me here in Canada, and I feel like china will still make them, but the chances of them making them will be diminished because of lower demand.. There are so many different 2c's, yet you can really only find d, e, i, and p (at least I can only find). In the US and the UK because of analogue acts, all of the 2c-x substances are entirely banned.. if this werent the case Id imagine more would be prevalent. Another thing is the Benzo-difurans, they became big in the UK and were subsequently mostly all banned.. they're legal here, and legal in the US as far as I know, but they never made their way over here, and all the vendors it seems were UK based, and obviously they pulled them.. so it seems no more of those drugs for ANYONE.

You've got to remember that you can't try everything all at once, you have to space out your doses.. so take your time, order one or two and go from there. I've only got 2c-e, 2c-i and 25i.. Ive tried all of them once to get a feel, and 25i a second time to get a really good idea.. Ive yet to feel out the potential of 2c-e and 2c-i so I've got a good amount of experimenting to do with those still.. depending how those go I may just go and order a gram to keep aside for the rest of my days. But there are still other substances I have my eye on that I am interested in, as well as others that aren't even psychedelics.

With bans it's always good to watch for firesales, vendors want to get rid of their stock fast so the prices go down a lot. As for the latter part, MXE is illegal there too but there's still widespread use of that drug in the UK. A ban does nothing to stop a drug if people want it

Indeed.. but it does make it harder to source. I like nice open channels.
