Q's on getting a script for adderall

ok. here's tha deal.
i am trying to get a perscription for adderall to help me focus on work...and for what i know about myself it will probably help me because i tend to have a very hard time concentrating and can only do work after intense physical exercise...whick leads me to believe im kind of an ADD case....
any way im looking for advice on what are some good ideas to tell the doc(other than the ones i meantioned) that will fit in to the doc's criteria that i requirea script for adderall????

heres what i told my doctor..if you are honest with your doctor about your drug use, then tell him that you have used adderall in teh past and yoiu were able to work better or whatever..it worked for me..although my mom was there with me telling supporting me

Never say you took it in the past. That is what most docs look for when you have the apointment. Its like asking for a prescription. It may work with some docs but not the majority.

Perhaps you could get tested for ADD. Then you don't have to bullshit your way through it.

hey, i have ADHD, and was diagnosed back when i was 13-14 yrs old. The doctor i met with put me on Tofranil, and Liquid Prozac (i was afraid of swallowing pills then) and i didnt stay on the medication, cause of my fear of pills. The crazy thing i will not understand is how doctors get their PhDs. why?, well i was told by the psycologist that my ADHD was a mild case, and would wear off, in other words "my brain and body would grow out of it" ...I dont think so..! Yeah, well now im 23, and still not in college, and i am strong on the fact that my Adhd is still there, and in some ways worse, but maybe thats cause of my deep dirty raver days, but anyway...
I am tryin to get a prescription to them, altough my reason is not so i can sell them to speed freaks, but to use it for its purpose to focus on everday things more attentively, and finish projects that i start.
On another note~my buddy is on the 20mg adderall, and he went through a massive wall of testing to get to the 20. he said over the time between he was 14 up to now, he was put on different kinds of medications, and after time, was put on adderall 10mg, and he went back a month later and told the doctor that "the drug's effect wore off too quickly", hence, he was put on the 20s.
every doctor is different, like said in another reply.....just hope you didnt LOOK like you WANTED them.

If you think you might have it get tested. If you take the computer tests with the disappearing black boxes and the IQ test and long ass questionaire and it is proven you have it, you will get less of a hassle from your doctor. I went through all that and I DO have it and the doctor still made me go through 3 months of anti-depressants before she would give me a prescription for stimulants. (And I told them I have never used before). Do NOT tell them you have used in the past. It sends up a red flag to the doctor and they most likely will not give you any stimulants and put you through years of different anti-depressants before they ever consider trying to give you stimulants (if they ever do). And some will make you take drug tests to prove you currently aren't using any other drugs if you had a past history of drug use. My best advice is to not act too eager and just focus on telling the doctor your problems with focusing and being distracted. Good luck.

Mods, how come the guidelines state that people should'nt come asking how to score drugs, but its perfectly ok to ask about how to scam docs to score a script to get drugs?

Ocean_dreamer - if you read the person's post you will see that they actually think they have ADD and just wanted to make sure they get the medicine for it. Doesn't sound like a recreational past time to me. So if the person has ADD, I don't think it's considered a "scam" to want to be ensured that he gets the medicine by not saying something that might make the doctor think twice about giving a script to him (or her).

The guidelines dont say you cant ask how to score drugs. You just cannot ask for SPECIFIC SOURCES.

In that case, I wonder if they would deleat my acid post again if I asked for tips on scoring the drug. Not ask for SPECIFIC sourses, just tips on what kinds of places and what kinds of people might have some. (sorry if this post is too off the original topic)

You must be joking smokin8ball.....you cant ask for sources of any kind on these forums. If you dont know how to find drugs in your area then you dont know the right people. And if they deleted your thread once, they will delete it again or ban you from the forums.

well, as honEbee interpreted i am in search of adderall or medicinal/pharmaceutical stimulants because i have been reading about ADD and ADHD and in relating it to my own life, i think i my behavior for a long time would be explained be either one of those disorders. The reason i posted my initial question is because i was unsure of the proceedure to get a script for such stimulants and to hear from other ppl's experiences. In addition to those aforementioned reasons, i also want to speed(no pun intended) up the process of gettin some adderall so i can do concentrate on doing the work that i have to do right now.
all the advice was good...cept i dunno if i can apply it to the way things work in Canada, where i think it might be more widely available....but...i am yet to go to my skool's Doc to get a refferal.
