Pure Diazepam--- need binders?

Ive noticed with pure diazepam (or nor-diazepam) powder that it is definately harder on my stomach than normal tablets. I wonder if the binders that usually come in valium tablets actually do something other than hold the pill together. Rx-list did not list inactives, but im sure it must contain magnesium stearate probably talc and maybe silicon dioxide. The taste is also bad, i weigh it out, and pour it in my mouth, quickly followed by water, as it tastes pretty nasty.

I take around 60-70mg a night for sleep (sometimes more). I have used capsules extensively, but consuming the powder kicks in mariginally faster. The capsules do not solve the stomach problems. Does anyone else take pure benzodiazapine powders consistently, and have you experienced any problems, ones that you wouldnt have had with tablets?
 
I have been taking the xanax powder from the same place fairly regularly with no stomache problems.
 
I wouldnt call it a rarity. But im taking a consistent relatively high dose of this stuff, nightly for quite some time, and it just seems to bother my stomach. With xanax powder, you take much less mass due to its far higher potency, so i wouldnt imagine that being an issue. When i take 100-150mg, which i do occasionally, the stomach problem is even more noticable. It hurts more on an empty stomach, but it kicks in faster this way.
 
it sounds like how i am with dxm. when i consume pure dxm powder, my stomach is shot. but if you put it in a suspension, it works so much better. i think it's because a lot of the powder (whether it be dxm or diazepam) just sinks to the intestinal tract like a rock. dxm is usually put in propylene glycol (or something like that) in capsules or the syrup. maybe if you mixed it in that, or something like it, your stomach can eat it up at the right pace without have problems, but then it wouldnt hit you as fast.

100mg is no big deal. Have you ever had that much? If i want to sleep very well i will take 80-100mg. Slight hangover, but aside from the stomach issue, not many other problems. I have taken over a gram of this stuff on a number of occasions, which was not a good idea, as it caused me a great deal of problems (really fucking up my ankle to the point where they almost amputated it, car accidents, bizzare behavior that frightened some of my family members, forgeting 3-4 days at a time etc.) But even with that huge of a dose, i never had toxicity problems, aside from transient renal pain (my body was struggling to clear such a high dose).
 
^a gram?!?!?!?! That is just fucking insane, like popping 100 Roche 10's at once . . . you must have a pretty high fucking tolerance for benzos because if I took a gram of diazepam I'd be in the fucking emergency room or going to that big drug dealer in the sky for my final fix . . .
 
1000mg isnt really enough to kill someone, but potentially, it could. Diazepam really has a pretty low toxicity. There is definately a serious multi-day hangover, the experience itself lasts a few days. The half-life of valium can be up to 100 hours, and at dosages like that, the half-life can become significantly longer.

to benzo's is what you might call 'quite remarkable',
just like any other drug...:\ )
 
As i said, i tried capsules, and the only way it doesnt disturb my stomach is if i eat with or before it. But eating affects the way the drug is absorbed and metabolized, so i try to avoid this. I dont feel so much nausea as I do a sharp pain right after taking the powder orally, the severity increases with dose, but its not unbearable by any means. Also if i take a dose over 150mg, i feel pain in my kidneys. I was thinking of finding something to add to the powder in a capsule that wont affect the drug but help with the stomach pain. Believe me if i had a good pill press (harder to get than the pure powder themselves), I would be making all sorts of creations, methadone and versed combos, high dose immediate release mexican morphine powder tablets. 70mg hydrocodone and bubital or pentobarbital tablets, etc....
 
I will be getting some powder soon and I will let you know how my GI tract responds.

One thing you might want to consider is plugging the powder (you can suspend it in warm water and then inject the solution up the rectum). I find this works well for promethazine when I am too nauseous to keep a pill down (promethazine also is water insoluble but the suspension is effective).

Also, do you usually eat before taking the diazepam? Perhaps try taking it with food; another idea is to take a few tums with it.

Yeah.
I get that with Xanax.
I don't know what it's called where you're at,
but a stomach drug called 'Losec' seemed to
take away the pain ect. without affecting the drug...
...cause I think it operates in a different way to
antacids 'n' shit...

Maybe a border chemist.
Not frontier.
I'm just using slang to cover up my lack of chemical knowledge.

My stomach hasn't had any problems with pure diazepam powder.

How long are you planning to continue to use it? I can't even imagine what the withdrawal is going to be like.
 
I actually mix it with 151 bacardi The alchohol breaks it down better in 100ml vials i gram per vial.
