Opioids Purdue Dilaudid Makes Cloudy Solution??

Hi,
I'm new to Bluelight so I hope I'm posting this correctly. SWIM have been IVing dilaudid for a while now and SWIM has been using the Mallinkrodt 4mg which made a nice, clear solution after filtering several times with cotton. (SWIM is working on getting a wheel filter, and SWIM know that's best). The question is -- SWIM recently got a bunch of Purdue 8mg Dilaudid (white, triangular pills), and when SWIM crushes these, adds water, and filters, the solution is very cloudy and hardly any powder is left behind in the spoon. Obviously, there are binders that aren't filtering out, and SWIM doesn't want to inject that cloudy solution... SWIM hasn't heard of "anti-abuse" Dillies, but does anyone know what's going on here? This never happened with the other brand, and SWIM is using the exact same prep process. If anyone has come across these Purdues before, is it possible to prep in a way that gets more of the binders out? Thanks!!
 
We don't SWIM here

Cotton filters are too coarse to remove anything but the largest dissolved particulates, you should use a micron filter for general usage.

The Purdue dialudid contains only hydromorphone, lactose, magnesium stearate, and color. You are likely seeing the magnesium stearate as a microsuspension (like fat drops in milk). It shouldn't do any harm as magnesium stearate will be absorbed and broken down (as will the lactose), but wheel filtering would likely remove the clouding.

Since all the ingredients in Dilaudid tablets are biodegradable it is safe to inject if you have proper sterile tecnhique. There are no insoluble 'binders" to worry about.
 
If you absolutely cant get the micron filter try to get a cigarette filter, and use a little more water. The cig filter will capture a lot more particles than a piece of cotton.
 
^With these pills he does not need a micron, and cigarette filters are dangerous to use due to fibers potentially ending up in the solution.

I thought he wanted his solution to become more clear? Cigarette filter > cotton. Both potentially shed fibers.
 
Baha yeah I had a bit of a brain fart on the whole why microns are recommended in this particular situation.

As to the filter issue, I am quite certain that it is indeed cotton > cigarette filter despite the tighter knit, considering cellulose acetate is used for most cigarette filters.
 
Thanks everyone! I guess the cloudiness could be from the microsuspension of the magnesium stearate because it is "milky." I'm just not sure why this doesn't happen with the other brand of the same pills. I filter a couple times with cotton (the wheel filter is coming very soon), and not much is left in the spoon. With the Mallinkrodt brand, there is always tons fo chalky stuff leftover after filtering.
I guess if it's just the magnesium stearate that's causing the cloudiness, I can shoot it like this until the micron filter. It just feels weird putting something so cloudy in my arm. Oh, and it's also noticeably thicker than when I prep the other pills. If anyone has any more ideas, or experience, I appreciate the help. Thanks!
