matt freeman > fat mike

but I like mike's vocals better. shit, it doesn't get much better than Rancid and NOFX so I don't even know why I'm arguing.
 
^ hah! rancid will never have the vocal range or melody of voice achieved by fat mike. Rancid has a sound all its own, but the vocals always have the same "street wise gutterpunk" growl. They pull it off despite this and still sound pretty decent, but to be calling freeman/armstrong the best of the two is ludicrious.

Television's Marquee Moon is high on my most wanted albums list, along with some Misfits. I recently (can't belive/disappointed it took me this damn long) indulged in the Fugazi and have been very pleased. This is a big conceptual leap from my days of constant Phish, the effort has clearly been worthwhile. :D

I know I'm playing fast and loose with genre boundaries here, but

talking heads > any other band mentioned thus far.
 
Bad Religion has to be considered one of the best punk bands ever.
