marks that pointed
to the curling
of script on my page

and the dot beneath
your raised eyebrows
was all I could look at.

Your lips formed
parentheses around it
asked and
confused my answers.

I paused
those full queries
short with the curled
comma of my fingertips.

i like the blending of imagery. perhaps it could use more depth but that's your call.
