Publishing Poetry?

Does anyone know where I would start if I wanted to have a book of poetry published. I have about 80 poems and I would like to do this. I have been told by quite a few people that I would have a good chance.
Or if I was to self publish the book? Any suggestions on who could help or where to start?

sarah, sounds like you and i are on the same page here. i'm also publishing a book this summer. i would suggest buying "The Writers Market" ------wonderful book for getting started with publishing. there are lots of options. over 10,000. all people have different ideas about how they want their books to turn out, or who they want to publish it; and its better to get background information on each publishing company before deciding. most top name companies are costly, but its worth it. and if you dont want to actually BUY the book, most libraries have it. goodluck to you. love,teodora
