I wanted to know how hard is it to publish a book, is it easier to have your book publish if you have a PHD. My cousin just wrote a book, its about her life, and she wanted to know how hard it is to publish it. Btw has anyone here ever wrote a book that was publish.

Well it entirely depends on how good/marketable the book is I suppose. The way to go about it is to send the manuscript around to a few publishing companies and see what feedback she gets.

I used to work for this company: http://www.authorhouse.com/

They were formerly 1st Books Library, then Springbound Media, and now, apparently, AuthorHouse. They are a self publisher and all you need to do is pay the fees and they will publish your book. You'll have a bound copy, ISBN, and bookstores (across the US, IIRC) will be able to order copies if they so choose.

That said, I hated that fucking company and how they treated their employees. But the customers seemed to be pretty happy.

are you asking about finding a publisher (i.e having somebody publish the book for you)?

you could publish the book yourself (google search for "how do i publish a book myself?" produced x,000 results)
