EMD PsyTrance Discussion ver. Carn mates, get your doof on!

Yeah i think it was released earlier this month :)
I ordered a copy the other day, can't wait to terrorize my car speakers.
He (kindzadza) has improved heaps on this release.
T-1month approx until im off to see him in germany. zing!

^just finished listening to Nano Ninja. Very impressed with this release. Much better than his last album. Almost as good as Waves from Inner Space. Will be playing this album on repeat for weeks to come. :D

:D

Now I'm excited for the future album releases to come.
Do you know of any good artists who are planning to release anytime soon??
Time to research!

I can't seem to find it anymore but someone recently posted a bunch of Braincell . . .

I just gotta thank them because this is some twisting full-on madness that fits my style perfectly.

so thank you!

It was me. Look at the previous page ;) Braincell is indeed awesome, one of the best producers for the last years. I have all their albums.

The tracks I posted were:

Anyway, Kindzadza is WAAAY to fast for me nowadays. The older Kindzadza stuff is great though. I wish he could keep the BPM lower...The new album is like some kind of Hard NRG with psychedelic influences.

Here's an absolutely BLASTING new dark psy track (and it's not that fast either, but it's heavy!): Malice In Wonderland - Between Worlds

Malice in Wonderland was the first proper dark psy artist to grab my senses.
Love it!

Sorry Cyanoide but the new kindzadza cd arrived yesterday and i am F'KING obsessed.
:D
I've been listening to hi energetic dark psy for ages now, i guess i'm sort of numb and resistant to a lot of generic psytrance as most of it will not interest me nowadays.
Too much intensity, corrupting my soul. Gahhhhhh.

Cyanoide, I know that feel. When I first started to listen to psytance, I couldn't stand high bpm psy. It was too much. But if you listen to the music long enough, it starts to grow on you. Once you become a true audophile, you'll learn to appreciate everything. Lower bpm psy is cool but hyper psy me brings to a whole different level. :)

off topic

Im starting to explore different types of slower music. We recently checked out a few psychedelic glitchy type of warehouse parties around Sydney that i have never experienced before.
For a complete shift in music and atmosphere, i think its pretty cool.
They are usually held on Sunday nights. People are usually hungover &/or scattered so it goes hand in hand with the trippy tunes.
Oh & the crews have been making the events free which makes it even cooler.
Such a nice way to wind down from a big weekend.

Baerfrens - Trems
Those guys usually play, with crazy live electric guitar effects and stuff :D

Apparently they held a psychedelic band night this past Sunday night.
It would have been beautiful.

I've listened to psytrance so long now my taste has become somewhat..."refined" (and I don't mean that as in better or more refined than anyone else's taste). Maybe hypercritical is a better word. While goa/psytrance is my biggest passion by far music-wise I think 90% of all modern psy is crap. When it comes to dark psy, basically all dark psy produced between 2001-2003/2004 was (and still is) great, but after that many artists started upping the BPM's insanely (e.g. Cosmo, Highko, Kindzadza). I've just never been a fan of very fast stuff and while dark psy is quite fast it just can become too fast for me. That's while I so cherish the stuff from Parvati Records, it's dark, heavy, but very seldom go much above 150 BPM.

tripnotyzm, it's not a question of generity (or, in a way it is very much so). As I said IMO 90% (or more) of today's psy is generic or just plain garbage. I don't think very fast dark psy necessarily is generic. It's just too...fast :)

One artist I really like for always having a very unique sound and going his own way (without losing the touch) is Xenomorph. It's some of the mosthellishly dark psytrance on earth but goddamn it's good; Xenomorph - Shaari Avadon

So, when to take acid? I'm thinking either the second or third night, preferably the third but I dunno if I'll be able to wait that long. :D
