Psytrance clubs....what's that all about then?

one night in newcastle years ago had a stall with mushroom tea haha, think the same night also included 20g free fresh hawaian cubensis included with the ticket price.
 
I find bangface and DMT nights have a proper old school rave feel with a friendly up for it crowd and you don't have to listen to psytrance
 
I find this talk about Grimestep and Dubcore twice as baffling as the stuff about hydrogen positions and ketone rings in ADD, we used to have tea at our local tin whistle club but some people got over stimulated so they stick to complan and horlicks now.
 
well need to go to the next Bang Face event, in electrowerks now, friends who went to the weekender last year said it was like nothing else

whenever I go to a Rephlex or Planet Mu night or anything in that ball park there are always people with BF t-shirts like 'when hard crew ruled the earth' must get to one soon.. the banners are joke, saw pictures among others 'all my drugs are up my girlfriends cunt' and 'speedcore is too slow' =D you don't get that sense of humor at psy (and most other) nights

BUT! i do quite like the herbal tea stalls they have, when your far gone enough on acid or 2CI a sip of spiritually-tea or interconnectivi-tea seems to do some funny stuff %)

This psytrance malarkey gets better and better. Not sure about the tea thing though. I know the place I will be going to says it has kush-tea (see what they did there?) whatever the fuk that is, but they sell it along side poppers and glowsticks, so it's not all bad. Just wonder if they sell Nitrous too.

But all in all, I'm now expecting a good night where I can be off my face alongside others and never need to worry about being the Dad in the corner. One thing that does baffle me though; if they are so infamous for their drug taking clientele, how come they are still going? And how are the security staff at these venues? I can imagine there are a few casualties during the night.
 
because theyre discreet, non trouble making clientelle

hardcore and ragga jungle etc are more established than psy :)
 
Are there any psy trance nights in Newcastle that anybody knows off? I've been meaning to go to Cybernetics but I haven't had time.
 
god psytrance gets annoying very fast
i suggest you take as many psychedelic drugs as possible to make it semi interesting (thats the secret to psytrance)

as someone who listens to it for a good couple of hours a day, i respectfully disagree 8)

the free party scene is still alive and well across the south (many genres including psytrance) as long as you avoid london parties they're generally very friendly


cup o' chai when you're tripping is v nice i must admit, i prefer being surrounded by pretty girls in fairy wings to a load of sweaty jock blokes with their shirts of shouting "HERE WE HERE WE FUCKING GO!" throwing pints of tennents over each other and rucking outside tbh
