I'm asking the fucking questions!
is this truffle legal in the uk?
After a quick google search I couldn't find any info. It does contain psylocin (sp?) But apparently its not a muchroom or something?

Can someone clear this up for me

this thread was right below yours. apparently you dont know how to search BL

no psylocybin in em, idk about legality in UK.

This is my first post but I wanted to point a couple of things out:

1) The OP is asking about Psilocybe Atlantis truffles, whearas the link you've suggested seems largely to be about Aminita Muscaria. Completely unrelated, don't know what help it was supposed to be.

2) What on earth makes you think they don't contain Psilocybin? Surely the name Psilocybe Atlantis is a bit of a clue?

As far as I can tell, legality of these in the UK is somewhat ambiguous. Whilst Psilocybin mushrooms are now definitely in Class A, these are truffles. You're definitely on flakey ground if caught in possession or anything is intercepted in the post. Whilst I would think it unlikely either of those things would happen, it is not of course impossible. My story would be that they are "botanical samples".

I can tell you I've ordered some from a Dutch vendor (where they are definitely legal) on several occasions and they have raised no objection whatsoever to shipping to the UK. They most certainly seemed like they contained Psilocybin to me, I find 20 grams eaten "fresh" to be a very pleasurable trip. They don't taste anything like as bad as mushies, more like slightly off walnuts. Making tea works fine too, never bothered to dry them as just isnt necessary given the taste. Whilst not exactly delicious they're more than bearable.

No ambiguity I'm afraid. Anything containing psilocybin is now class A. Even the partially grown mycelium cakes they used to sell are class A. The only legal thing are the spores because they don't contain any psilocybin.

The vendor won't mind, he won't get prosecuted because he's in Holland. You're the one who will be arrested and charged. He'll be walking round Amsterdam laughing himself silly with your money in his pocket.

Truffles are exactly the same as ordinary mushrooms - it's just the usual psilocybin trip.

Hows the nausea? Lets say compared to shrooms.

I have no problem at all, neither does my GF. Largest I've dosed at one time is 24g though, maybe if someone wanted to trip harder and was eating 40g+ it might be tougher on the stomach? I'm pretty sure they just don't contain anything difficult to digest in them though so don't think so.

The tea is actually rather pleasant, I didn't even feel the need to add honey or anything to it. I prefer to avoid heating for fear of damaging alkoloids though so don't generally bother.

I've also tried the Tampanensis by the way, nothing wrong with them at all but feel the Atlantis has a (very) slight edge in potency.

sorry to bump and old post but i was just wondering about the legality of these because as like in holland they are legal whilst mushrooms arent, i was just wanting to see if the same was true here.
for these mushrooms would 20g be enough to have decent trip?

When truffles/mushrooms were legal in the UK I preferred the truffles to the mushrooms. They tasted nice (like a walnut snack) and seemed to have a more euphoric edge. The ones I had tended to be stronger by weight than mushrooms. I would say that a 20g trip would probably put you amongst the foothills of craziness, especially if you have not built up physical tolerance to them. Even half that is going to be strong. They might still be legal in Holland, but they could well turn round and bite you if not approached with respect.
Some Danish vendors will not ship truffles to the UK.I had kind of reluctantly given up on ever tasting them again in the UK. However, as I type, fairy circles and flushes of mushies are appearing in fields and lawns across Northern Europe. As a postman, I have started to notice them, although not in such great numbers as last year.
Good luck with your truffles. I suspect that UK customs only intercept a fraction of such packages (Going on my past experience with RCs, Ayahuasca ingredients (also recently targeted) and San Pedro. Different countries legislate in different ways, but in the UK, the rules are fairly sturdy. You are taking a gamble with anything that contains any scheduled substance. I was lucky to get a live Vine cutting through the post recently. Perhaps because it was live and labelled as tobacco plant.
Peace - Pipp

I noticed more euphoric effects with truffles (and even more easy come up), but I tried the truffles fresh and mushrooms dry. Can be this the differential factor?
