Psychs and seizures can I keep tripping?!!

So here's the deal, I had a seizure a few years ago from abusing xanax I quit never had one again.. later in life I get prescribed xanax and I have several seizures 2 were bad, i never remember anything after they happen so anyways I ask my doctor to put me on something that wont give me seizures and he gives me kpins, well theyve been working AMAZING for months im perscribed 6mg a day but usually only take one 2mg pill when i wake up in the late afternoon.. well I got my hands on some good liquid and took 3 hits and would go as far as to say i had the best trip of my life maybe ill try to write a trip report sometime soon but idk im not to good at explaining my trips so i just leave em at amazing but (sorry i tend to go off track) well anyways this morning I got up a little earlier like 12ish? and I only took one klonopin (like regularly) cuz i knew that kpins can ruin an lsd experience and anyways I dropped at like 9pm had the most amazing trip an on the come down(7am i was really pretty much done tripping in the head a few hours ago just some lingering effects) I had a seizure (friend was there so I know) and I dont know ive only had seizures because of benzo's before had an eeg and lights and all that dont effect it i definatly wouldnt call my self epileptic but I thought kpins had a half life of 24-48 hours does anyone know why I had the seizure? Can I never take psychs again..? I have some things I am soo excited to take but IDK if its worth it if I cant find a way not to have a seizure.. I know this might not have an answer I like but please if anyone has had the same problem and found a way around it let me know! 8(

Hello. let me ask you, do you ever get ringing in the ears?

I am not a doctor, but my understanding is that where you run into issues with benzos and seizures is during withdrawal from a benzo. Something like your brain stopped making GABA because you were on a benzo and so when you go off a benzo it doesn't have enough GABA.

So, if you are dependent on benzos, then anytime the effects of your benzo runs off (theres alot more that goes into that figure than half life, I know kpins don't last 24-48 hours), could it be that thats when you run into issues with seizures?

Anyway, if you are having seizure issues when you come off benzos, Id put alot of energy into having a clean withdrawal (can take months I believe), and then moving on slowly from there. No psychs until you are sure your benzo past is behind you.

Damn.. not what I wanted to hear but thats life I guess.. never heard the ringing in my ears.. do you think if I took a low dose like 1mg-2mg an hour or two before a mushroom trip it would totally kill it? even though it takes 6-8mg for me to get even a little high I really only take them for anxiety these days anyways.. and it had been a good 20 hours sense i dosed my benzo when i had the seizure and my trip was pretty much over. Bleh.. ive been looking for boomers and some good lucy for ever now and when I finally find some BOMB lucy an what look like nice boomers this happens.. oh well guess im just gonna share the love with my friends but id like to take the shrooms myself as I feel like I still have a lot to learn from them..

Id have a friend with me if i do eat the shrooms an hed be tripping on lucy hes very experienced, but im just scared of biting my tounge.

Or id probably just dose my normal 2mg in the morning and trip like 2 hours later instead of waiting till night an then take a kpin as soon as im coming down does this sound like it would work??? Ive had EEG's and my seizures are definatly benzo induced as there was no seizure activity whe
n they blinked all the lights in my face and all that good stuff.. and I only have them when im on benzo's and dont take it in time just thought my time was alot longer on kpins

If anyone has a similar problem an has found the soloution please chime in!!! Im sure if i woulda took my benzo at the end of the trip i would have been fine but i didnt really think about it cuz i thought I was good for 24 hours at least.

If im not mistaken psychs lower your seizure threshold too. If i were you i would wait until the benzos clear your system completely

Yeah your spot on they do.. Fuck well I think im gonnna try and just take like a small dose of benzo and eat slightly less shrooms then normal like 2gs and have my cousin as a sitter.. and ill give him the rest of what i have an my lucy im just giving to friends who i think can handle it and are interested or have tried it or other psychs before thanks guys.. but I think ill prolly be on benzo's for awhile longer as im perscribed them an without them im a social wreck.. thanks again though guys

Because you are saying that, in your present condition, the only times you have seizures are when you are ON benzos, and you want to take less to insure you don't have a seizure. Did i get that right? The reason I say that is interesting is because benzos are used to stop seizures. like they'll IV ativan if you are seizing in a hospital or something.

And I know alot of people say that benzos weaken their trips, but thats never been the case for me. That being said, I also went into a 4 month state of pure panic because I took etizolam ONCE, so I react to drugs weird.

If I were you, Id acknowledge that benzos are serious business and accept that as your life challenge for now. If a doctor thinks its ok, start tapering off them slowly as he suggests (like very slowly). Theres lots of online support for it. Know what your efforts towards getting off them are for. Psychedlics have been around forever, and theyll be there when you are good and clean from this benzo chapter of your life. Try meditating for anxiety maybe? Sorta works for me.

Yeah I mixed up my words a bit sorry, I mean when im off them the only benzo i had taken was at like 10 or 11am i took 2mg klonopin i prolly shoulda took one at the end of my trip an woulda been fine.. but yeah I have an opiate problem im working on first leaving town next week to detox then im going to talk to my doctor about tapering after ive gotten past the opiate withdrawls.. suppose im just gonna hold on to my boomers till than I can just keep them in a dark place an theyll be fine right?? Gonna give the lsd out like i said to friends im pretty over lsd even though itll always hold a special place in my heart i feel like i got the jist of it but shrooms are another story ive used them way more an they still give me plenty of insight unlike lsd which is more just the same lesson over an over to me but lsd always producded nicee visuals for me but boomers are still my favorite.. cant wait to get off the benzos and get some dmt still havent broken threw only smoked it once though and didnt know how to use a meth pipe lol or if you think I can still trip well on benzo's as they dont get me high at all no matter how many i take i might just trip with a sitter idk..

He has used 25i around 20 different occasions, usually at 1200ug dosage, and has been fine. However he forgot to take his meds one evening 2 weeks ago, and decided (really really stupidly) to take 25i the next morning DESPITE having a seizure when he first woke up at 6am. He dropped at about 11am, and decided to take 2400ug (again, MEGA stupid given his fit) and at 12.30pm he had a serious seizure, went blue and cold, I had to call an ambulance and he spent the rest of the day in hospital.

He's fine and totally back to normal now, but he needed resuscitation. He said that after he regained consciousness (around 30 minutes after the fit began) all visuals and psychedelic effects were gone, but he had a migraine.

I'm not endorsing this behaviour in any way, I agreed to sit him because he was going to take the 25i whether I was there or not, and despite trying to talk him out of it he ignored my pleas of "you're being an idiot! don't do it bro!" and dropped the two tabs. What a moron. Anyways, thought I'd let people know, seizures can and do happen on this drug! If you're prone to them, please please be careful!

Thanks for the info man im definatly not dropping acid anytime soon till i get off these benzos.. that last trip was enough to satisfy me for awhile anyways but are shrooms any safer? Like if i took them with my medicine even though ive heard it will kill the trip I dont really think it will but i prolly would definatly be seizure free because the only times ive ever seized was because i didnt take my benzo in time or I think the reason i seized this time was cuz i hadent taken it in almost a day and to top it off my seizure threshold was higher but idk im cool for now I feel like eating the shrooms today im nice and benzo'd but idk maybe I should save them for the day im totally over benzos as a reward or something(not to mention its probably safer).

also im starting to think maybe it was 25i cuz ive never had liquid that was mixed with alchohol or tasted like it anyways if that has anything to do with it an if shrooms would be any safer if i was on benzos..

i dont find benzos really kill my trips, maybe the visuals. I definitely wouldn't lower my benzo dose while tripping, that seizure risk scares me, last thing i want is to have a seizure while tripping. Seroquel and hydroxyzine murder trips pretty well though, in comparison, benzos don't dull a trip very much.

25i has a short history of use and a number of seizure reports, so it could be the culprit. I'm not sure how much most psychedelics lower the seizure threshold but i've heard of many people having seizures on psychs for whatever reason. I'd just take your regular dose and trip, you'll still trip even if you have to take a bit more, it won't stop or kill a trip either way.

Im positive it was 25I Or some kind of nbome now.. it felt almost identical to LSD but a little less introspective but visuals were more insane then ever... lots of yellow a purples an patterns were becoming amazing art i cant even begin to describe I took 3 drops not sure how much it was my my guy said two would be way more then enough,so my question is if you dont put any of the nbomes in the freezer will they become like a gel type substance? Cuz I had fifteen drops gave out 4 and did 7 then went to give a friend 2 and it wouldn't come out cept one hit then i just put a sprinkle of water in there n gave him a little an he said he fucking tripped nuts like he never has but i saw the guy count out 18 drops an he kept telling me to keep it the freezer but i believed it was LSD and saw no point and im older but still live with my mom so I wouldn't wanna freak her out.. also got rid of the shrooms according to my friend they were the best he ever had so im happy he got to experience them he said he just ate a little handful and tripped harder then he ever had(i seen him eat 5gs before) wish I woulda ate like 2gs an took just one klonopin cuz ive noticed i dont seizure as long as i take one or two through out the day an see what happens but I can get them when ever and im gonna try to get off these benzo's soon but fuck its gonna be a bitch.. also ill have my own for free soon so IDK ima have to try it, ill just have my friend look after me an hopefully if im not off them ill at least be on a very low dose of benzo's per day.


also what about ketamine?? its like the only popular psych/disssociative i dont have a lot of experience with besides dmt which i only smoked once and didnt smoke right an I can get the kitty now..

I agree with the others: avoid all psychedelics until you are clean. And avoid nitrous oxide and tramadol as well.

Ketamine is okay but don't forget it can be pretty addictive (trust me on that one).

oh for sure man im gonna get some k than haha thanks for the advice I have no problem abstaining from psychadelic use as there something that i like to use 2-3 times a year I just hadn't had acsess to em an was itching to trip after my last one but now im pretty content but if K is all good than im def gonna pick some of that up.. today haha
