wow neat, that structure is a computational chemist's wet dream, a synthetic chemist's nightmare. good thing nature provides thought-provoking shapes like this. just talking structural aesthetics of course. (ok maybe a lil' double speak).
any chance this is a pro-drug for something like eseroline? i know there is a seperate binding site for polymers on NMDA receptor, and eseroline wiki said nothing of nmda inhibition, just mu-opioid agonism, but structural similarity begs the question.
btw, i'm working on modeling nmda receptor/non-competitive inhibitor interaction just lately. just getting started with pdb: 2RC8 and pcp and mk801. there's so many arylcyclohexylamine and other ligands for that pcp-binding site, so maybe i'll get something good going on and post some new pics. 5ht2a stuff is not dead, was reading PiHKAL at home and noticed in entry for 2ct17 Shulgin discusses chirality at ring position, so . . . Have been modeling peptidomimetic HIV protease inhibitors a bit, too, but not sure if that's bluelight's idea of ADD. . . anyway.
p.s. any help on nmda binding site info would be nice, haven't accessed scientific (pay) journals yet. if anyone has already worked on this and wants to share.
