Hey Folks out there, in bluelight land.
I've harvested my marijuana plants, and recently i've been making alot of Budder.
The Process where you cram several hundred grams of leaf into a chamber and then blast it with a few cans of butane.
When the Butane Evaporates you are left with a yellowish wax, which... when you scrape it up. You collect a Relatively pure THC//Cannibinoid mixture.

Anyways. I was curious as to what would happen, if i did this process with some of the Psychotria Viridis i have lying around.
I know the plant matter is Chock full of DMT. No where near as Mimosa. But considering this plant is a leaf and not a root.
I'd imagine that this process might work on it.

Does anyone here have any suggestions or comments about this process, or would it basically just ruin whatever leaf matter i decided to put into the chamber.

Not sure but the process you're describing I believe is how to make honey oil, not budder.
IIRC budder usually requires further refinement by extremely gentle heating, but I could be wrong.

As for dmt you generally do a type of acid base extraction I believe to separate the dmt from other alkaloids which can come through from just washing with solvent.

That i understand. But When you use Mimosa which is an Extremely Alkaloid rich Rootbark.
I always use Lye to Emulsify it. Considering that Psychotria Viridis is a leaf.
Without an insane number of alkaloids in it. I was just curious if Butane was Capable of extracting DMT from the leaf.
The same way, it extracts Cannibinoids and THC from the plant matter of Marijuana.

Have you tried making a p.virids tincture? AFAIK that's the go-to method for this plant NVM I always mix Virola and Psychotira Viridis up..

Also, p.viridis is notoriously inconsistent in alkaloids so it may or may not be worth it. I think the people of the amazon pick it fresh in the morning, when the alkaloid contents are the highest, and squeeze out the juice to get the goods out. Or something like that at least,
