Psychedelics & Telepathy

Ive had full on telepathic communication with someone while we were both tripping balls. We had a full on conversation and then we sent each other texts to continue the conversation and relate that we really were communicating telepathically...
 
^Hmm. I never hit the several microgram range for sure (WTF? Yikes!), but I certainly was taking large doses, and the stuff that was going around was definitely strong. I have a pretty diminished response to psychedelics for some reason, so I was taking more than most of the people with me were taking.

Maybe it's psychosomatic, but I do seem to get a sort of peripheral effect from the stuff some of the time. Could be do to other things too, I imagine, like caffeine consumption during the day, or hydration or stuff like that.

Yeah, i've only had a few excursions into the milligram range, and frankly, its quite ridiculous. Haven't taken that much in years. Here's a link to a post describing one stupidly massive dose if you're interested. Most of the negative physical effects from LSD, i believe, are due to what i call the "acid cringe," that is constant muscle tension and sitting/standing in slightly abnormal positions for 8-12hrs. Extended periods of dancing can also cause this. I know a bunch of phish heads that used to believe LSD had some effect on their spines until I pointed out that they were standing on a concrete floor and dancing with strange body movements for 4hrs at a time several nights in a row.

Another thing that may come into play with the telepathy illusion... People normally trip with close friends. On any number of substances (even caffeine) people can become more atuned to what each other are saying and feeling. This results in the finishing of each other's sentences, increased non-verbal communication, and an enhanced feeling of kinmanship or commeraderie (sp?)
 
On my first 2c-e trip, my friend and I had a complete minute long conversation without a sound made. We just stared at each other and exchanged emotion, not language. Of course, one could say that language is partially an organized way to invoke emotion anyway. It was really cool, we both started giggling ecstatically afterwords, completely amazed.
 
^I was in a relationship with a person for a while who I would do this with a whole lot. We're still really close friends. For a while I thought we had a telepathic link, but as is my tendency, I've been overcome by skepticism. I haven't had a good conversation with her for a while. I wonder what she thinks about it all.

That sounds beautiful, nearjat. :)

Maybe part of the amazement for me was that these guy friends who (although I am very close to) would not normally use facial expressions and body language that convey so much raw emotion, were just not held back under the influence of LSD.

I've recently spoken to one of these friends who had an amazing time on the trip as well. But he told me that one of the other friends was not so sure about it, something I never would have picked up on if you'd asked me on the night.

So maybe there wasn't as much to it as I thought, except for acid fueled meaning. It's funny, I think part of the confusion might arise from the fact that we were both looking so overwhelmed by the acid, and for me that is an extremely awesome thing, whereas he might not have liked the loss of control or 'strangeness.'

I'll have to have a chat to him, I guess. :)

The first time I tried LSD, though, the group of friends all sat in a circle and had a nang balloon at the same time. I was overcome with energy buzzing through my head, a pulsing sense of connection from everybody. And while a usual 'trip' of oxide would last about 30 seconds for me, we were all in this ecstasy, what I can only describe as a mind orgasm, for what seemed like minutes. It truly felt like our minds were meshed together in the circle, and one by one we sighed and fell away from it.

Unlike my recent trip, I still cannot truly explain that feeling, it was wonderful and felt very profound.

Haha, yes! I remember the first time i mixed nitrous while peaking on a medium dose of LSD. After exhaling it looked like i was under water.. and the euphoria was out of this world, it was kind of like the icing on the cake ;)
 
N20 is pretty friggin sweet while on other psych's, especially lsd. LSD, MDMA, then a few nitrous balloons caused me to see the world be destroyed and then reformed. Not exactly telepathy, but it might happen some time in the distant future...
 
^ One of the EADD mods (not this one on this occasion) was moved to tears of awe on that combo (with the addition of a lil 2C-B and ketamine) at a recent BL meet. Also not telepathic, but Nitrous is a hell of a thing on top of other psyches :D
 
^ right on, i've had a few other friends say they've seen the world end while on n2o, sometimes only in combination with cannabis. The funniest example I remember is once in high school me and some friends had gotten quite stoned and where doing whippets at a buddies place listening to 311. Then one of my buds took the balloon away from his face and started saying "NO! NO! NO!" We just took his balloon away and made sure he didn't try and stand up. When he came to he said he had seen the world explode... strange stuff for sure
 
I don't feel telepathic, but my intuition is much sharper than before..and this lasts for about a week after tripping. I've even finished peoples' sentences that i barely knew. I'm not sure how to explain it but i love it.
 
Telepathy on LSD seems to be such a commonly reoccurring theme that there must be some substance to it, even if it isn't telepathy in a clinical sense as some have suggested on this thread. But what has fascinated me over the years has not just been the reports of telepathy but also a few scattered reports of pre-cognition along with the telepathy.

People have not only seen and heard other peoples thoughts and experiences, but have seen future events as well. The only other reports of pre-cognition that I have seen involved dreams and these were without LSD or some other chemical stimulation. So the relationship with intense LSD phenomenon and intense dream phenomenon don't seem to be that far apart.
 
I find that LSD can act as a pure clean and beautiful experience or as a synthetic tense and utterly un natural feeling. I do find its personality to be a bit menacing at times, and sometimes it gives me this 'acid retardation' feeling of being unable to think or talk or decide what i want to do. I think mescaline is the friendliest and cleanest psych out there. I don't get the telepathic feeling on LSD or many other real hallucinogens, but I do get it on dissociative drugs like DXM and ketamine for some reason. Those break down my ego and allow me to 'become one' with another person more easily than true psychedelics for some reason.

You must be getting shitty LSD, in other words...you aren't getting LSD at all.

There's been plenty of RC's going around, and yes they feel extremely unnatural and tense to the point of that being the center of the experience. These come on anything LSD would be on.

I like DXM and have had amazing experiences on it, but real LSD is easily better for astral projection/spirituality/meditation and oneness.

^Most things sold as lsd are lsd. A lot of the times its just not very potent. Subjective effects of lsd are different for every person, and even within every person, every individual trip is going to likely be vastly different. LSD can feel both natural and completely artificial, thats more dependent on the user's mindset and surroundings.
 
Killo, you seem to be on a mission to convince everyone that any RCs are shit and LSD is great (that part I am not arguing with), and that any time acid feels dirty it must be an RC. I understand your intention, but the fact is that these things are not true. Lots of people have great experiences with variouis RCs, equally as valuable as LSD experiences, and depending on set and setting and individual brain chemistry that day, LSD can feel uncomfortable. To suggest what you're suggesting is fallacious.

LSD was an RC back in the day... it just means an unresearched or barely researched chemical.
 
^Agreed very much. It makes me uncomfortable, though, that people misrepresent an RC (typically DOx) as LSD -- for obvious safety reasons among other reasons. I think that reports of RC's sold as LSD are over-hyped, though. Usually "LSD" is really LSD, just weak nowadays.

Truth of the matter is, unless you buy a testing kit and test your blotter you just cannot know.

Have you tested any of your blotters, killo?
