Dear BL Fam,

I’m starting to prefer LSD over shrooms, and over DMT by a lot. My question is, is there any scientific evidence so far that regular, say weekly use of LSD could have negative long-term effects? I’m currently treating my depression with LSD and I find it helps compared to “antidepressants.”

Weekly use is too much with LSD. It generally takes 9-14 days for tolerance to fully reset. I’d cut it back to twice a month.

With that said, numerous people (some very famous, like Alduous Huxley, the Shulgins, the McKennas, and many others) have publicly discussed regularly using psychedelics for decades with almost universally positive effects and little to no negative long term health issues.

If you don’t have schizophrenia/severe bipolar/psychosis and/or a family history of those things, I wouldn’t worry too much.
