Hi everyone!
After more than a year of researching psychedelics (around 25 trips with psilocybin, LSD analogs, and 4-HO-XX tryptamines), I’ve come to a surprising conclusion: Cannabis, at least in my experience, is kind of essential for the most profound trips.
I first tried combining it with 4-HO-MET, since even doses up to 40mg felt pretty mild to me. I vaped about 0.5g of a good strain—and suddenly, it all changed. The synergy between the two was amazing: a much richer headspace, deep introspection, music enhancement, a warm euphoria… and overall a way more profound experience. It honestly felt like a completely different substance. Not just a boost in potency—a qualitatively different experience.
Same goes for LSD analogs (1V-LSD and 1P-LSD). Even doses up to 150–225mcg felt relatively light, but after adding a few hits of cannabis, the experience really opened up. At higher doses (225–375mcg), the substance alone produced a solid psychedelic trip—but again, a bit of cannabis took it to a whole new level. I’ve had maybe a couple of difficult moments when I vaped too much or too quickly, but those were totally manageable. Pacing the hits seems to be key.
I can confidently say that the psychedelic + cannabis combo is a different beast compared to psychedelics alone—and it’s given me some of the deepest, most meaningful experiences I’ve ever had.
So here’s the question:
Should I increase my psychedelic dosages to see how far I can go without cannabis?
Or is it possible that even higher doses won’t match the depth and magic of the combo?
I actually tried pushing it with 50mg of 4-HO-MET, but honestly, it felt less profound than just 20mg + cannabis.
Same story with 375mcg of 1V-LSD. It was a good trip—maybe even similar in intensity to 40mg of 4-HO-MET + cannabis. But once I hit the vape… BOOM. A whole different experience, much deeper and more intense.
So now I’m wondering:
Is it just a matter of dosage, or is the combo creating something unique that can’t be reached through psychedelics alone?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and personal experiences with this. For me, cannabis adds a kind of magic to the psychedelic state—something I haven’t found with the substances alone.
Thanks in advance!
