Psychedelic visual effects

Wasn't exactly sure where to post this, but I'm pretty obsessed with the visual aspect of psychedelics such as acid and shrooms. I've always wanted to view a video including common psychedelic phenomena, but most I see are either a) swirling patterns that warp your vision for 10 seconds max, b) cliche rainbow fractal spinning patterns, or c) abstract animated music videos. I have yet to come across a realistic accurate portrayal of an everyday situation with psychedelic visuals (in other words, a POV video). Is there any video editing program that would allow me to add to a 1st person video tracers, breathing/melting effects, patterns on surfaces, changing colors, etc.

Hi. These are mostly pictures and a few gif's, but this is closest I can think of to what you asked.

The drifting wolf gif on "drifting" page is pretty cool. :D

You could look into getting Adobe Premiere Elements or Premiere Pro CC. Elements and Pro are almost the same, but the latter is considerably more expensive. Both include plenty of effects, but there are also plugins galore (mostly payware) that you can add to the vanilla installation. The learning curve is a bit steep, but you can do almost anything with this software.
