Hey all, what psychedelic, if any, do you hate that most people seem to love and why? For me it's 2C-E. I used it pretty heavily for a while, but it started to just feel toxic to me. People seems to get a profoundly altered mindstate from it, but for me it was always purely visual, and my "mindstate" stayed more or less sober. It just felt really hollow and I never really got anything from it, (but dear god I tried). But overall, my reason for disliking it is just the extreme feeling of toxicity it gave me. I also associate my HPPD to this chemical, though that could just be because i dislike it and am using it as a scapegoat.

So what chemical(s), if any, do you dislike that most people seem to love?

I'm gonna go with LSD, people say it's clear but for me it's a very foggy substance, I can't think properly when on it. It also makes communication extremely hard, brings me a lot of anxiety and makes me over emotional in a negative way. Mushrooms I love though, they're very different for me. Clarity, happiness, love/positive emotions, ease of communication...

Nitrous ...effects repetative in nature and the awe-struck brain dead sensation of n-holing (lol) leaves me unable to truly explore the experience mentally until it's over. So I'm left unfulfilled having experienced something intense, but having been unable to 'touch it' or even make note of the places feature leaves me let down every time. The oob sensations are interesting, but I'll stick to meditation and Shamanism for that, I'm done going brain numb chasing that impervious gaseous dragon lol...he is but a mirage..! :-)

Was fun in high school a few times, but I'm way over n2o.

Cannabis, for sure. (If we're counting cannabinoids.)

At this point in my life, I just don't get anything positive out of cannabis. The afterglow can be nice, but the actual primary effects? Awful. Hard to think clearly, highly anxious and paranoid, over-stimulates my appetite so I eat to the point of making myself sick, makes it difficult for me to sleep.

Although I will say that recently I've enjoyed it while tripping. Psychedelics completely change the nature of cannabis for me. Also, pot has a powerful synergy with dissociatives.

4-AcO-DMT. Way too sedating and "dark" for my tastes. Mescaline cactus was pretty godawful in terms of nausea and the trip wasn't that remarkable even though it was a pretty strong/long-lasting trip.

Most phenethylamines, especially 2C-X's and DOX's. Phens are for me like psychedelic speed (if anyone counts MDMA as a psychedelic I dislike it too, but I don't count it as a psychedelic). 2C-C and a couple of the NBOMe's (especially 25C) are the exception. Phens feel too synthetic, too designed and have an almost toxic feel to them. Especially 2C-I and 2C-E are horrible.

If cannabis counts I agree with everything AppleCore said. Weed makes me paranoid and prone to strong anxiety, even panic attacks.

Edit: Although I'm a tryptamine freak I must say 5-MeO-MiPT is absolutely horrible. 6 hours of vomiting and a very nasty bodyload.

AMT. So many people seem to dislike it. I love it.

25C-Nbome. Horrible chemical. Paranoia, vasoconstriction and HPPD. Yum.

DXM.

I used to use it all the time, but then it just turned into one bad trip after the other. So I quit. Fuck DXM.

doc and 2c-c were both underwhelming for me. 2c-i gives me horrible physical side effects. Also agree with op about 2c-e -- it doesn't do for me what it seems to do to others.

lsd people say its so colorful but for me its like being really really drunk almost like the one time i shot vodka i love mushrooms tho happy saintpats day cheers
