UsedTFSE for any of you people wondering...and sorry if this is the wrong place, but I was wondering what was up with the frequent (but not always, no matter the chemical class) headaches I experience with psychedelic use, (trypts, 2c-xs, 25c-xs). I like to think of myself as experienced in psychedelic usage, and this (unfortunately) seems to be a recurring theme. thanks for the input/show me where to go if this has been posted before!

Never realy experianced headaches with psychc's, or any other drugs, and as far a i know a good few coumpounds actually help or temperarely cure headaches, like pscilocybin mushrooms do.

Thank you for your input. I have never had a problem with headaches beyond what I compared to be normal except I can do whatever, and then all of a sudden, ill decide to do my favorite thing (psychedelics) and I will undoubtedly develop some kind of headache, some much worse than others. I know of cetain psychedelics and their supposed healing properties when it comes to headaches. However, it only seems to apply to certain people. Wondering, what kind of biochem processes would cause this reaction and if its safe to deem to half of the population, if even

There's anecdotal that LSD and psilocybin (and even non-psychoactive analogues of LSD such as bromo-LSD) can relieve or prevent cluster headaches which are not in the least comparable to your regular day to day headache. Those are really not the same.

I'm inclined to believe that psychedelics related headaches are either in some way psychosomatic or otherwise related to tension or vasoconstriction. That being said, I only sometimes get a headache and even then only after having taken mushrooms. It's quite unpredictable and I haven't been able to relate it to any specific variable yet. But I do recognize it.

Do you drink 2 liters of water daily ? Do you make it 2.5-3liters when you trip ?

That's what I tell people if they trip with me. It is paramount !

I have migraine headaches and while a small (threshold) dose of either psilocybin mushrooms or LSD will reliably stop a migraine, a regular recreational dose will cause a migraine more than 50% of the time.

Just like taking imitrex will sometimes do to me.

On the other hand, Frova (also a migraine tryptamine, big pharma calls them triptans so we don't make the connection I think), a low dose formulation which is designed specifically for pregnant women and is my favorite since it doesn't usually cause the rebound headache the next day, another benefit of low dosing. Something about the rebounding of neurotransmitters no doubt.

So Hydrogen_X, do you ever have migraine headaches?

Holy fuck me so bad.
I never ever used to but now I do.
I was found to be iron deficient so I was started on iron supplements with vitamin b12 and they're getting better.
Except my headaches were constant thing for the last year and a half
