psychadelics are coming back

it seems recently that shrooms salvia and others are becoming more and more popular at least where i live. Has anyone realized this too?

Psychedelics have been popular in the town I grew up in for as long as I can remember. Or atleast since I started noticing drug use (late 90s). Acid was never too common in those days, which has made a good comeback though.

To be honest, not really. Amongst my circle, psychedelics are getting less popular, but I guess that has something to do with age and whatnot.

not especially, imo. its always been fairly constant as far as i can tell... I thought RC's were on the rise but theyve always fluctuated pretty constantly. In fact now that I think about with 3-4 of the biggest vendors going out of business in the last year is probably a sign that theyre on the down slope again... Keep it under wraps as far as you ask me, if anybodies dedicated they can find a psychedelic. No reason to shine unnecessary lights on it (including some joker trying to sell RC's on youtube?!? Shit like that is disrespectful, makes me mad)

They've always been huge here, until pretty recently. They are getting harder to find, especially decent quality.

I don't know if it is the area or the people I associate myself with though...seems like the whole area.

maybe people are getting burned out on it

Where i came from originally psychedelic use was average to say the least. The quality varys so much that its kind of hit or miss. Sometimes you get some of the most proper L that turns you on and you search for that quality for months and only find 40mic shit.

Personally i wish the psychedelic was used more then it is now. The world would be a much happier place, and plus i wouldnt feel like such a psychonaut talking about astral planes and seeing auras around people and what not. :)

I've noticed some spectacular RCs coming out leading me to believe that many others in the world have the same passions and to a far greater degree than I.

I agree man. People have been goin nuts for LSD lately, 2c-i has made quite the headway into becoming more mainstream as well. I live in a college town though.

Stims & alcohol here. Same as always. Don't that I don't like them, but it gets boring.

Luckily there's a few people into psychs too.

EDIT// of course it is mushroom season so there's a few more than usual interested in tripping.

Judging by the range of responses, I'd say it probably fluctuates. Some of us are seeing a drought and/or a lack of demand, others are seeing a revival.

Like everything else in life...

I'll tell you all I know: things can always change.

I could say yes; but this would be totally biased based on the people i interact with where psychedelics are the drug of choice.

Most people i meet outside of the psychedelic music/scene have never come across it let alone know anything about it apart from the 60's counter-culture. I however have no issue with introducing them too it if they are so inclined, i enjoy been that bridge between two completley different worlds. :)

i have no idea how others here in austria handle drugs but for me it's defenietly true.
i'm rally into psychodelics

seriously...I'm like the last of the Mohicans in my group of friends. But it definitely seems to be more in the public consciousness than ever before in my lifetime, or at least my adult lifetime.

I think the whole rave scene is struggling compared to what it was in it`s hayday.

In my area they are trying to pull off some revivals of old haunts that were really the place to be back in the day, maybe it`s a concerted effort to recreate an old scene for a new generation,i mean wasn`t the acid house days and raving just a recreation of the 60`s in a new form?

Maybe psychedelics are coming back. Not only was the rave scene very profitable but it also brought about many changes on the social scene.

Google Trends: Orange is 2C-I, blue is 2C-E and red is 4-AcO-DMT. I don't really think so, not beyond professional research at least.

You can't really use those drug abbreviations as data points to measure this tho. Most people aren't going to be aware of those drugs, nevermind their names, and aren't going to type it into google. If you go type in "get high" you'll see a steady climb in the same date range. Also, here's on for "designer drugs" a term I think is probably more anchored in the public consciousness these days. There's probably even more representative words or phrases to judge by than the two examples I used too...

based on how mainstream the rave scene is getting i would say there is at least somewhat of a revival..
then again probably most of the people raving are just into ecstasy

and with the rave scene garnering more bad attention than good this isnt exactly the best news.

well there is certainly a renaissance going on in the area of legitimate research. As far as popular usage, I'd imagine it's probably slightly higher than it was 10yrs ago, but not that much, if nothing else, just due to the exceptionally wide variety of things available today. There are more types of psychedelics fairly easily available than at any previous point in human existence.

I've seen a bit more interest in psychedelics lately yeah...but I'm not thinking there's gonna be some kinda revolution from it haha. Kids will trip out say "cool" and carry on.
