I'm not even going to trouble you with a long story, but I'm sober for about a month now and don't really want to go back to meducation but I am bipolar(nothing bad has happened), when I first did my sobriety a few years ago, I stayed off any "non-prescribed meds" and got treatment for my genetic manic depressive bipolar disorder that isn't serious but between a 2-5.5 on scale of 1-10,ten being out there; for one whole year I did very well in school obtaining two degrees, great job that I enjoyed, blah blah, so I think it would be a good idea to start (hopefully stay on the meds, bipolar peeps are generally have a on off on off issue with medication but any how, I would be taking; Xanax 5mg (as needed for panic attacks) Ability 5mg Nexium 40mg Generics; Lorazepam 2mg Lamotrigine 20mg (Newly added, 1st time taking ever but to be takin with the others listed; citalopram 40mg) Now, I will always hit a j, it was my 1st and it's great once or twice a wk, but I like a clean high and to have energy. (ALso, considering I'm 186lbs @ a height of 5'3" which is considered to be obese, would like to lose 40lbs.) I don't like to feel out of control of my mind or body, unless it's the weekend, but seriously here is the question and (mind you I've only tried non-Rx as a means of high and only about 5 outta who knows how many); what could I take as a means for a relaxing vice/could go to work on etc. that would not interact with the meds described above?

Opiates come to mind, for me anyway. Dont get me wrong i love my weed but yea the lingering cloudiness is kinda a buzzkill sometimes.
Idk if your looking for a stimulant or what but opiates are a clear headed, high and as long as you have the right dose you shouldnt nod out at work. I actually find that intermediate doses make me awake, talkative, ready to do shit, so if you can get these babies prescribed then by all means%)

I'd prefer your Doctor answer that than anyone else. I know that isn't always practical.

What should I take questions about recreational drugs usually get closed down under the "Bluelight is not here to help you get high" principle and the fact that we aren't encouraging people to use drugs but to be safe. Your situation has HR considerations though.

I'm going to try Other Drugs for this. drugs-like-me Welcome to Bluelight :) What ideas have you had so far? Additive sedation and CYP considerations with any drugs on top of your psych meds concern me enough that I feel very hesitant about putting any ideas forward. I can picture mods closing this because of similar discomfort but we'll see.

I changed the title because what can I mix while getting desired reaction? screams for closure a bit.

I see why Enki sees some HR value in this but if I were to distill your thread to one sentence, it'd be...

"I have moderate bipolar disorder than requires the use of 5 psychotropic medications simultaneously and I want to get high, what can I take?"

As far as strictly pharmacologically speaking, you should definitely be aware of interactions but since you're describing the high you desire more than your concerns about interactions, this isn't appropriate here. Questions about interactions are also better suited for pharmacists, doctors and if nothing else, interaction checking sites such as WebMD, Rxlist, etc.

Aside from the issue of getting potentially very dangerous advice on combinations that no one here knows all of the information behind - there is the issue of suggesting specific recreational drugs to use to anyone who is struggling with their mental health. If you're using 5 different psychiatric medications just to try to regulate your neurotransmitter levels so you can have some kind of mental stability, do you really want to toss in drugs that wildly raise or drop those levels throwing everything out of balance?

Lastly - to 'LuvH8'... the OP is already on two sizable doses of benzodiazepines as well as another sedating medication in aripiprazole so just BAD advice... same thing with the opioid suggestion above. Clean high? yes. Enjoyable? yes. Worth dangerous respiratory depression... ?

Please feel free to private message me if you have any questions about this, OP.
