I have a bottle that says exactly that. It must be somethin just like prometh and codeine. Does anyone know? it's purple and smells exactly like cough syrup.
 
it is a cough syrup.
antihistamine/decongestant/cough supressant.

think it's usually..2mg chlorpheniramine(sp?)/30mg pseudoephedrine/10mg codeine
 
Thank you, I was having trouble finding it on the web. Only problem is that it expired 09. Would it still be effective?
 
depends on whether it's still sealed and how it's been stored.

if i'm right..it's got 10mg/codeine per 5ml..
so..if you're trying to catch a buzz..
you'd need a good bit tbh..

The codeine does not come into play, it is the alcohol and promethazine.



Don't even bother trying to take that to get high, the pseudo will be horrible!
 
^ I live in an area where a lot of people like to drink codiene/promethazine. It's not mixed with alcohol.

Pseudo is slang for pseudoephedrine, a stimulating decongestant

In overdose it can cause hypertension (high blood pressure) & panic attacks

Save your cough syrup for when you have a cold, it won't be very recreational
 
Pseudo makes most people kind of stimulated but dazed at the same time, sort of out-of-it feeling.
 
yeah i tried cough syrup once,it was benylin drowsy formula,it was quite unpleasant,not terrible like a bad acid but not nice,spent the rest of the day in bed feeling weird
 
The "purple" cough syrup with codeine should not be confused with dextromethorphan cough syrups. DXM cough syrup is a hallucinogenic dissociative, codeine with promethazine is a warm painkiller opiate type feeling. (& codeine syrup is prescription only)

What about "promethazine dm" is that the same as dxm or are they two different things?

it's dxm + promethazine (antihistamine)
it's unsafe to mix antihistamines (above the recommended dose) with dxm.
go w/a dxm only product if you're looking for recreational. :)

So promethazine is an antihistamine too right? And I guess you're saying to pass on trying to use the promethazine dm recreationally?
