Ok so 4g dried shrooms, same batch as others that were perfectly fine.

Keep in mind that my stomach was giving me problems all week... if I had any caffeine/energy drinks, chocolate, spicy foods, or simply ate what i would call a normal sized meal, I would need to lay down for a couple hours. By Friday afternoon, my stomach was feeling better, even managed to eat a bowl of spicy noodles. So that night, I had nothing to do so my dumb ass thought "why not" ... big mistake

0:00 - 4g dried down the hatch on an empty stomach. these aren't grinded up, and i ate it with a chocolate bar
0:30 - i can feel it kicking in
1:00 - it's full-on now, and i'm lying down in my room, listening to music
1:30 - i feel my stomach starting to get upset... so I run into the washroom and prepare to vomit. I've never vomited on shrooms before. After a couple minutes of *trying* to vomit, my stomach HURT. I'm talking about the worst pain in my life, for about 20 minutes I thought I was going to die. So I'm curled up on the floor, while occasionally rising up to the toilet. Called for an ambulance to come pick me up (was still vomiting)
2:00 - a quick ride over to the ER, my stomach still HURTS but at least i don't feel like vomiting anymore.
2:15 - i sheepishly told the doc what happened once I got in, he doesn't look very impressed. I thought about lying, but my pupils were huge... he's not stupid. They took my blood, put in an IV drip with some other anti-nausea / anti-cramping meds. The nurses thought it was funny but the doc had no sense of humor about it. I spent about 4 hours there in total. When they finally let me go, the doc wrote in his notes that it was probably some stomach bug, and it was unlikely to be the shrooms.

Moral of the story: DON'T eat shrooms if you're having problems with your stomach. Seriously. Looking back, I probably should have toughed it out, but I've never been in that situation before.

Doesn't sound like a good idea eating shrooms on a bad stomach, but glad you're fine.
Got a hilarious mental image now with your doc looking at you and your massive pupils and the nurses laughing. lol.

Shrooms are known to cause gut rot and pain. If you were already having a bad week with your stomach I pretty much guarantee this was your problem.
I do not like psychadelics and shrooms always fucked up my stomach. Btw im the type of guy who can eat 12 donuts and not feel sick. What im saying is my stomach is made of iron and shrooms just dont agree for what ever reason. Maybe you have the same problem.

i'll have some next week and update this thread. my stomach has been fine ever since the hospital, so hopefully it'll all go smoothly.
stay tuned!! :D

edit: actually i'm going to try it in ginger / mint tea next time. anything sweet on an empty stomach, like chocolates tend to give me slight problems

A week ago I made shroom tea (4g) but it didn't hit me very hard, maybe I did something wrong. It felt like 2.5g... not very good tbh. So I ate 4g more and tripped out hard, took a gravol as well to avoid any stomach problems / vomiting. Was very enjoyable but I probably wouldn't do that much again... it was almost too much / kind of a waste of the extra 4g.

Fast forward to last night, a friend came over and wanted to try for the first time. We both ate 4g with gravol on an empty stomach. We were inside for about an hour, but it was a full moon out, no clouds in the sky so I said we should walk around outside. So my friend is starting to stumble around and I ask if he wants to lie down on the grass, he says yes.

So I have 1 headphone in my ear, looking up at the moon, felt really peaceful. Occasionally made conversation with my friend. About an hour passes, and I tell him I gotta go back inside to take a piss, he says "mm" in response. Once I'm done in the washroom, I look out the window and he's STILL lying there. I walk back outside and tell him we should go walk to Tim Horton's and get some food / drinks.

But now he wouldn't respond to anything I said, and I see him starting to shake. If I held his hand he would squeeze it really hard for 5 seconds, then go limp. Clenching his teeth, holding his stomach, rolling around on his sides, and eventually started talking gibberish. So I'm asking him "wtf man are you ok??? You gotta talk to me or I'm gonna call the ambulance" ... no response so I think ahhh screw it k i gotta make the call.

15 minutes later the paramedics show up and I help them load my friend onto the stretcher, they put a bunch of straps around him. They thought it was pretty funny, said this kind of thing happens maybe once a month, and he'll be ok.

So I don't think he will be doing shrooms again. I talked to him today and he said that last night felt like a dream, only remembers some small bits.

Anyone have any idea why he would have acted like that? Just doesn't go with his body? I dunno

It's a semi-catatonic state induced by mental overload, I have seen it happen to people when tripping too hard or having an extremely difficult trip. I wouldn't call the paramedics everytime, a whole boy who cried wolf thing... Also it is never fun for someone tripping balls to be strapped down and intubated....

Ah ok, thanks for the reply. After what happened I'm not sure if I want to trip out with first timers again... totally killed my buzz and made me super upset until i went to sleep (like 2 hours later).

LOL! You are so nonchalant about it! hahahahha, I can just see you, sitting there experienced tripper and like, "fuck, this kid is ruining my buzz" lol it just appears funny to me in my minds eye.

Yeah some PEOPLE in general just don't take too well to psychedelics....I always have a really hard come up, but then I'm straight almost always having a great time. I think we also have to get through the bad trips to realize its all in your head for the most part....then you can start enjoying life whether it sucks or rules.

Yes like Hilt says that can happen with psychedelics, I've seen it. Also mushrooms have the additional quirk of potentially causing blackouts, brain zaps and (apparently benign) seizures far more frequently than other psychedelics.

About the OP: tripping can amplify things so much, I have also had medical worries spin me completely out of control. With me it was hyperventilation because in my mind I was not getting enough air, while in reality I was getting too much. That made the gases in my blood (primarily CO2) flip out which caused very nasty and scary symptoms that landed me in the ER.

I used to get bad stomach aches on shrooms man. Like a unwanted grumbling and just pain. Your body is digesting something thats gonna be hard to break down. Ever since I started grinding them up and putting in capsules or washing it down with a drink the stomach aches went away.

i don't have a grinder but what I do now is to chop them up finely and put it in a jelly sandwich. works well

Making tea is the go.

Ever since I stopped munching on shrooms (and strictly making tea whenever using them) I've had barely any stomach symptoms, maybe a gaviscon tab here and there.

It's pretty amazing how much pysilocybin/pysilosin you can fit into a small amount of water.

^ what is your recipe for shroom tea. I have heard boiling water degrades psilocybin. Do you find the effects to be the same with 3g of the shroom tea vs 3g of straight mushies? ( dried obv.)

I boil my water first, put my shrooms in a metal cup with two teaspoons of tea (usually chamomile, but more recently white tea).

Pour the boiled water over the tea and shrooms, wait 5 mins, add honey, and your good to go.

Boiling them will deffinetly take away potency, and maybe even kill off most alkaloids if you boil too long.

Think I read somewhere that pysilosin is easily damaged with heat, where's pysilocybin can handle a fair bit more without degrading as bad.

To the OP, do you suffer from acid reflux at all? Another thing that help me with shroom naseua was acid reducing drugs (ie. omeprazole, zantac). But I need to take them daily anyway.

Nope, never had any problems with acid reflux. I'd consider myself to be healthy, not on any medications etc.

I think I'm going to stick with my gravol + finely chopped shrooms / jelly sandwich combo for now. Hasn't failed me yet :D

A few months ago me and a few friends took some mushrooms and later than night we went by the corner store because one of my friends wanted to get candy. So we waited outside for him and within his first step of walking out the door his knees buckled and he fell face first onto the pavement. He was unresponsive for about 1 minute in which we tried to wake him. Once he showed signs of coming to, he immediately vomited all over himself and pissed himself. He couldnt stand at first but we quickly escorted him back to our friends house. It was scary as all hell, I thought he was going to die.
