Prozac/Paxil to treat bi-polar disorder?

A friend of mine was just diagnosed bi-polar. Her doctor put her on 20mgs of paxil and she didn't handle that to well. She said she was dizzy and felt drunk all the time and basically didn't like the effects. Now she saw a different doctor and he wants to put her on prozac. I know these drugs work in a similar way. Does anyone have any expierences with switching from Paxil to Prozac? I've done a couple of searches on both drugs and I can't find anything on people who have switched.
 
Really, the only data that exsists here would be merely anecdotal on behalf of either physicians or patients. The 2 drugs are of course both SSRIs, but all SSRIs have certain characteristics that further differentiate them within the class - ie. Prosac tends to be more stimulatory and has been associated with weight loss, while Paxil is more sedative, and is associated with a certain amount of weight gain in patients (amongst many other differences).
The best way to find which SSRI is best for a specific patient needs is for them to be in close communication with their physician, and maintain an open line of discussion in regards to how the drug is making them feel - then adjusting the med and/or it's dosage appropriately.
