Prozac Nation? Is the Party Over?

I think we're roughly on the same page Glogga, just that you believe that there is some kind of conspiracy that allows dangerous drugs onto the market,

Well for the face of it, when a bunch of corporate managers figure out ways to mislead people and get them dependant on drugs, whether through legal channels or not, that is conspiring, by the definition of the word.

Hence, my point, and what it seems you think to a degree, is that it is the governments role (and hence voters) to push companies towards "moral" actions.

Exactly. And thats why you have me a voter pissing and whining about these horrible pharmecuetical companies and how our elected officials sell out to them. The more people I can get to see my point of veiw better. :)

But just one your "Bullshit. Making money is not an excuse for anyone to commit inhumanities"...
So hospital can't turn away the sick? Educational facilities can't turn away the uneducated? super markets can't turn away the hungry? When stuff starts costing money, morals go out the window.

In all of those cases, people are doing what they are doing to avoid loss of money, not to take peoples money. Getting people to be dependant on drugs so that you can take their money is completely different. Its exploitation.

Oh come on, you're trying to argue there is a difference between "immoral" acts which make money, and which don't loose money??? That's like the people who say that its moral to euthanase someone by not feeding them, but its immoral to kill the same person, with an overdose.

^^^

There is a difference between refusing to support a stranger on the street, and actively exploiting someone through deception.
