Prozac and MDMA?

Alright so everyone tells me that Prozac's SSRI mechanism of action blocks the re-uptake of serotonin, so taking Prozac before taking MDMA will basically counteract MDMA's effects (or something to that effect).

However, I've only been taking Prozac 10mg / day (pretty low dose) for only 10 days... And I want to roll one last time before I get too much Prozac in me to roll at all.

So my question is, will 2 capsules of molly still allow me to have a pretty significant roll, despite me having taken Prozac already? (10mg/day, 10 days)

Thanks in advance!

That probably wouldn't be enough. SSRIs reduce the efficacy of MDMA a lot. Further, for safety's sake, I'd recommend not doing this. The interaction isn't as deadly as it is with MAOIs, but MDMA is known to sometimes increase the toxicity of SSRIs and you'd already be having to take an excessive amount of MDMA to overcome the loss of effect. MDMA is just plainly dangerous with any type of anti-depressant.

prozac has a ridiculously long half life (how long it takes to leave your system) and takes something stupid like 15 days to fully leave your system, on prozac (40mg a day) I find i need at least 3/4 of a gram of pure Mandy to get anywhere and even then the effects are not as brilliant as I am told they should be (having never tried Mandy off prozac) as my receptors are worn out due to dependence on prozac. Apparently also mixing the 2 can cause long term damage as prozac and Mandy fight each other to get to the relevant brain receptors so I am coming off the prozac as I want to continue doing Mandy occasionally without any massive risks. I wont be trying Mandy again until the weekend when I will have been off the prozac for 8 days (only 10% will be in my system) after that I will gradually wane myself off the prozac slowly. Side effects from coming off prozac usually start after 2 weeks so I should be OK, I wouldnt recommend the cold turkey approach to coming off prozac though as once it fully leaves your system it can be overwealming.
It is interesting to note that I have never had a Mandy comedown though although this may be because it has never worked properly!

SSRIs and MDMA taken at the same time can cause a condition known as Serotonin Syndrome, which can be fatal.

To be safe you're not going to want to take MDMA until at least a week or two after you last prozac dosage... you should still be able to roll after only 10 days of use, but unless you wait a long time it's not going to be a very strong experience... and it could cause life threatening conditions

But to be honest, I wouldn't take an SSRI at ALL. Even if you "need" it... SSRIs majorly down regulate the serotonin receptors over time... taking them everyday for decades is NOT going to suit you very well when your older. I would explore all other options besides SSRIs... they are practically mind control drugs anyways.

No... you probably wont feel a thing. I know from experience. If you feel anything, it'll be the shittier side effects if its speedier M. I couldn't roll for over 2 months after I quit taking an SSRI and I was only on it briefly. It's also dangerous and your risks of serotonin syndrome increase when you take SSRIs and MDMA together... so if you really must try it, if you feel nothing after your initial dose, don't keep taking more to try and get high. If you don't feel it with your initial dose, you wont feel it with more. It just increases the danger... not to mention, if you're struggling with depression, MDMA might not be the best drug to be doing right now anyways. I know it sucks... been there. Please be careful, your life and well-being is way more valuable than any drug trip. <3

I take Prozac, 40mg a day. I've found when I stop taking about a month before I'm going to roll I'm fine and I get a good roll. So if you want to give it one last go stop taking now, do it in a month, then start your dose again. You aren't even far in enough for it to really start working anyway.

Also...the Seratonin Syndrome thing really is very dangerous, I really wouldn't recommend rolling at all on an SSRI. I only do like once a year, and even then I'm totally paranoid for the next month. Anyway, this is a pretty pointless response so I'm gonna go now. Good luck
