Provigil/Modafinil best way to get sleep?

I don't use it often, but when I do take it in the morning, i will still have trouble falling alseep that evening.

I have read that benzos don't really work on modafinil, but i decided to try anyways tonight. This bothers me b/c i like to take a small benzo after work to relax for the evening with a glass of wine.

I have trazadone, z-drugs, and of course the classic anti-histamines.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

(btw, i do excercise and eat right so please save those recs)

What do you take it for to begin with?
If a benzo won't knock you out, I doubt any of the other drugs you mentioned will either. Maybe a neurontin or lyrica might help shut off the modanifil, I've heard positive results for the stuff as a stimlant comedown, but maybe you should just dose up on some caffeine, omega 3's, ginseng, or B vitamins (B12 is good) in the morning. Do you really need such a strong stimulant?

I take it a cognitive enhancer for work. I work in startup.com environment and I sometimes also take 2.5mgs of adderall in the afternoon ( i know small dose, but it works for me).

So yeah, i don't "need" it, but i sure as hell like it. Issue is the damn super long half life.

i only took .5mg of xanax last night, but i hate taking more due to the addictive qualities of benzos (as well as i swear it kills you short term memory).
