Provigil....a potential potentiator?

I hope that I am posting this in the correct forum, but I have a question for those of you with a background (or interest) in chemistry and psychopharmacology. I am rxed Provigl as well as Vyvanse. It would seem reasonable to me that one will potentiate the other, but I don't know if this is a)safe or b)worthwhile since both drugs are expensive. I guess my main question is how to get the best out of both drugs, and if used congruently, if there will be an increased reaction? Thanks!
 
I've used modafinil and dextroamphetamine in concert before. The key is to keep the dose of modafinil small, otherwise it actually will start to block the effect of the amphetamine. Also, if Vvyvvanse is too expensive (and it is), you might consider switching to Dexedrine XR, it achieves virtually the same effect--a nice, smooth, protracted release of dextroamphetamine.

I'd start with around 25-50 mg of Provigil, to assess how much you like it. My experience was similar to Riemann Zeta's. It does block the subjective effects of amphetamine, but I also found it to add a nasty anxiety to the whole shebang. At low doses, though, it could be great.
 
I've tried 200mg provigil + dexedrine twice before, and both times for some reason it put me right to sleep
 
vyvanse and others

What other rx drug could I combine with my prescribed dose of 50mg of Vyvanse? I crash 3 hours later. I tried trippling the dose but it just made more tired. I just want the initial buzz to last longer

I"m always high when on this site and don't have patience to read rules. but everytime i write something, I get an un welcomed message. All I'm trying to do is share my experience and learn about someone who know more about this new drug.
 
Likewise, Provigil has been tested with coke. No synergy at all.
 
I did sort of hope that this thread would become advanced, I believe it could be mentioned that modafinil seems to have 5ht6 activity and that 5ht6 agonism has been found to potentiate amphetamine. I might be totally wrong there.

why not take it and make it advanced....
 
I just assumed it was simply additive CNS stimulation, as opposed to potentiation, but as Vecktor mentions, perhaps there is more to the interaction..

Well, if you're not reading the rules, then you should expect to get negative responses.

It seems to me that it's just additive stimulation, not potentiation. I've only had this combo once (about a year ago) and it wasn't any more than I'd have expected for the doses taken.
