protein shakes

i find the only bad tasting bit about them is if i dont stir em up properly(i dont have a shaker) and the chunks get stuck on my throat/back of mouth and burst... thats kinda nasty tbh.

get yourself a hand blender, best thing I ever got :)

they make most brands of whey protein taste REAL GOOD (in 2% milk). Like they taste so good you'll have 2-3 when you smoke out and get the munchies :D

p-mo i was looking at that stuff, how many times a day do you take that hurricaine evo? is ten grams of creatine a day going to be any good for you? i read you shouldnt exceed 5 grams a day, or is this all relative?

I usually take 1 shake with milk in the morning, 1 with water PWO. Sometimes I'll add another in Pre WO.

As far as I'm aware exceeding 5gs of creatine a day isn't going to harm anything apart from your wallet...

I use Optimum Nutrition (ON) whey protein gold standard chocolate flavored. It has 24 grams of protein per serving and tastes pretty good compared to some of the other protein suppliments I have tried in the past.

I tried Kashi "Go Lean" Vanilla flavor the other day. Best protien shake I've ever had and I've had many protein shakes in my day. Too bad each container only has 7 servings and the price is a little steep. Mixed in with some Milk, it forms a very thick and creamy shake that definitely holds a candle to muscle milk in terms of taste.

....Taste isn't really a problem for me though so I have no problem chugging down ON's Whey (or any other brand) any day.

I usually hate the taste of shakes but force em down anyways. I did find BSN shakes to be really good though. Try some syntha-6, true-mass, or lean dessert protein, chocolate milkshake has been my favorite so far

My ex boyfriend got me some to try to help me gain some weight since I wasn't really eating. I had to cut the recommended powder by half just to make it drinkable and after I was done I was SO freaking tired. I guess my body needed to shit down in order to be able to digest that much.
I really do like the Ensure stuff though, but I'm not sure thats really a "protein" shake. Certainly not one that you use into order to put on muscle mass.

Weird, if I put chocolate in a protein shake, it'll taste good no matter what else is in it.

Milk, a blender, and chocolate. It's no longer a protein shake; it's dessert. :)

And that ain't a criticism.

I always chuck mine in the blender, add a banana, honey, oats, egg whites what ever I wish really and tastes fine

Agree totally with that comment, I hate cottage cheese but I still eat it every night!

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of:

Chicken breast
tuna
turkey breast
...
spinach
raw ev olive oil
brown rice
...
only getting 2200 cal/day
imitation "chocolate" flavors
eating small ass meals every two hours
...

...but I still eat that way every night :(

Breakfast used to be a problem for me, porridge used to be me want to heave at every mouthfull.

Now I soak/liquidize 50g Oats... Throw in 6 egg whites... Throw in a scoop of whey and blend it all together quite nice tasting! :)
