hello you good people. Just wanted your thoughts on this. I've been taking low doses of cocodamol/ an dihydracodeine... nothing more than 120/150mg tops oh an the occasional tramadol 200mg top dose like once or twice a month. Anyway would this cause me to have hot sweats? A friend as suggested propranolol 10mg twice a day. He's said that they help with psyical symptoms like trembling an might be of help in these hot sweats. Is it worth a try? Thanks

That usage of opioids once or twice a month shouldn't be having any effect on you when you're not taking them. When are you getting hot sweats? Like regularly, or is it when you're on the opiates, or shortly after?

I use cocodamol quite regularly like 2/3 times a week. Tramadol once or twice a month. At 200mg. Also I very rarely use diazepam last night I did 20mg. But Im not sure if it's a sort of mild withdrawal when I'm not using any.

Propranolol is a beta blocker. There is some evidence that it may help with hot sweats, however probably not if they are due to withdrawal. Also 10mg is a rather low dose.

Is that the only symptom you're having?

Using codeine 2/3 times per week is not going to form a dependence that would precipitate clinically significant withdrawal
