Propranolol dosage?

I'm prescribed 40mg propranolol three times daily for panic attacks, so 120mg as a daily dose in three divided doses.

However, my anxiety has been unbearable today and I'm popping em like sweets. Today so far I've had 280mg (in four divided doses). My blood pressure earlier was 97/58.

Apart from lowering of blood pressure, are there any other effects that will happen?

Also what would happen if I took 50-75mg promethazine tonight after today's total dose of 280mg propranolol?

I wouldn't take promethazine after that high dose of propranolol. Side effects can vary: nausea, diarrhea, altered mental state, anxiety, respiratory distress, tremors, headache. The list goes on. If the propranolol isn't helping your anxiety, tell your doctor. There might be something else he can prescribe as opposed to doubling your dose like that.
