Alexander Shulgin used inderal (propranolol) in some of his experiments.
What do you think about its use?
If, for example, I experience very strong side effects with vaped DMT, could I self-medicate with a dose of propranolol?
If yes, how could I find my dosage?

I've both used propranolol and administered it to others during experiences with 2C-B, DMT (but not harmalas) LSD and psilocybin containing mushrooms. Never ran into any issues, not sure why we would've tbh but I can vouch as having done it a million times that it at least appears to be safe from my perspective.

As far as dosage, I don't recall but it was just a single tablet we needed each time.

Could you describe how it modified the effects of the psychedelics ?
Was there a specific timeline of ingestion, before or during ?

Edit : And have you used medications similar to propranolol to reach the same effects ?

Never used a blocker exactly like propranolol, but I've used tizanidine (intranasally), carisoprodol, phenibut, floribut, gabapentin, various benzodiazepines, GHB and a handful of other sedatives alongside psychedelics. Propranolol had the least intense character, it "interfered" the least if that makes sense. In fact propranolol is unbelievably clear feeling as far as doing nothing other than lowering an accelerated heart rate.

There was no timeline of ingestion, just as simple as "oh shit your heart rate is feeling too high? Here take one of these."
