ok im not seeing anything from anyone. I'm going to start doing some of this stuff on my own just to get it started, because right now its full of fail when it should be full of win.

Perhaps it would help if we could all agree on a theme?

I started writing some shit down, but every time I check back in this thread someone else has a different idea or suggestion. I, for instance, am not too keen on the "sci-fi" aspect. I tend to go more for gritty crime fiction or gore. I'm also not terribly big on the idea of using characters really based too much on Bluelighters. I mean, we can use some personality traits as a starting off point, but I think it would be too limiting to make characters based entirely on a few people here... especially when I don't really know the people well enough to begin with. I know the Lacey K from the lounge, but I don't really know enough about who she is and what motivates her to build a convincing character... all I'd end up with would be a lame parody of what I think she'd be like.

blah. I've had too much coffee tonight.

look, here's some storyboards. Think of it as a jumping off point...someone illustrate one of the scenes nicely, or someone pick up where this story leaves off and go from there, or make your own storyboards for the next couple of frames or pages. Hell it isn't rocket science. I even forgot I was supposed to be making pages for a little while in the middle there and just drew single panels. Shit, I did it with a ballpoint pen on notebook paper. Its no big deal. This obviously isn't my best work, and it only took me maybe 15 mins to do it, but it's something. Thats all we need.

Here, I made the second panel of the first page. I kept it as a really simple line drawing, didn't add any sort of shading or texture, so that you all can try it out for yourselves...either by inking it or adding color with photoshop (hell, even MS Paint).

All the lines are really the same thickness and there are no highlights, reflections, flourishes, shading, etc. You can really jazz it up like inkers are supposed to.

As far as color, think of the same things. Add some lens flare to the jewelry, give her skin tone, add some textures to the hair and clothing, add lighting effects.

This illustration is really only about 25% complete. Lets get the collaboration going and do something.

Yo lol that totally looks like me and its like 3 lines . Good work penny. I feel like it aint right for me to make sketches for that part cuz its of my self n of course ima flatter myself :D But ima do it anyways. Ima do a couple styles actuallly n c wat yall like. more simple or complex or watever. i tend to go over complex so it will b nice to have someone to level me out n keep it simpler.

haha yeah I tend to overdraw things too. Like it's usually got shading and crosshatching and texture all over every inch of the picture. This one was pretty unusual for me in that way, but I wanted to make it super simple so that people could add to it or color it in really easily. Plus, when you are drawin womens faces its best to keep them real clean and simple I find, because otherwise they either look like they are really old or like they are dudes. Girls faces are usually really smooth, you know?

Anyway lacey, don't worry about flatterin yourself...1, its a comic book, so you're supposed to have big tits and a perfect body and everything, and 2, its not like you're beastly-looking or anything to begin with. You already look good so whatever you did wouldn't be inaccurate anyway. I'm tired tonight but I'm gonna try to bang out the first page I did real soon. Seriously though don't stress over it, its supposed to be fun. Just try to do something that we could use somewhere in the book, whether its something from one of the pages I made or something that you came up with yourself...your own page or panels or whatever. We can do anything we want. I'll be happy to see anything. :)
