Proper dosage without scale

Hello guys, i just experienced MDMA and i found it incredible. So we bought some for our vacations. We are a group of friends having parties in a boat. I'm not going to abuse it, as i never abused any other kind of drug, thus we're going to use it like 2-4 times in the whole month of august and then stop until next year.

We got as present like 2-3g of crystals from a trusted friend.
I read that the average dose is about 1-1,5mg/kg. Thus, being i 74Kg my proper dose will be about 100mg. Is it correct?

The main question is: i don't have a scale to measure it and i am not sure how much MDMA is in that bag (so i can't say I.E. "i have 2g, i split it into 20 parts to get a dose").
Can anybody, please tell me a good way to measure it?
A good idea could be taking something common (like a 0.01€ coin or a microSD card) as a reference, like in this picture

The MD we have is exactly like the one in the picture, except it's a little darker.

Perhaps you could dissolve it a known volume of water,and then divide that up with some sort of medicine measure?

The best option is to just buy a set of scales. I got a set, off <SNIP>, that weigh to the mg for only $$$ so they're definitely affordable.

If that's not an option, then you could try dividing it up into equal piles. But it's important to remember that just because the seller has stated that it is 2-3g of crystal, there's an extremely high chance it's lower (from my experiences). If you're in the UK, a street 'gram' is usually only .7-.8 of which the highest i've ever received was 760mg. So I wouldn't be surprised if you have nearer to 1.5-2g. If you're source is a trusted friend, then perhaps you could ask if you could borrow his set of scales (assuming he has one), to then weigh it all out.

Otherwise, it's all a bit of a guessing game, of which MDMA is a drug where the correct dosage is definitely important to the enjoyment of the experience.

If you have 2 or 3 grams then you can't exactly eyeball it. You could end up dosing an extra 100mg and be a mess. If you can afford to buy 3g of MDMA you can afford to buy a cheap .00 digit scale.

Or buy some size 4 gel caps and they usually hold about 120mg depending on how crushed your powder is and how hard you pack them. Thing is you usually have to buy 100's of them at a time, kind of sucks if you really only need 10 or 20.

This is how every discussion of this nature goes 8) but yeah, I got my AMS scale for $$$ and it's accurate to ~3-5mg. There really is little reason not to have one



Also, if your crystals look like that it seems you need to invest in a testing kit too... I'm like 83.5% sure that picture is from a vendor who sold methylone

what's the difference between methylone and MDMA?

- effects?
- toxicity?
- dosage?
- how to distinguish them?

The effects i had, during the first roll, arrived after 30-45mins and they were:

1) I felt like i was fucking. Same sensation in all my body, especially in sexual organs
2) I felt incredibly happy and i loved everyone and wanted to share my feelings
3) I wanted to dance
4) I felt no stress physical and mental
5) I sweated more than normal
6) I was quite clear headed and able to speak normally (not like alchool!)
7) My pupils were huge
8) The day after i was perfectly ok. Only the 2-3 days later i felt a little stoned. But reaaaaally little.

MDMA, methylone, methamphetamine and a number of other drugs all fit into those effects


The only way to know if what you have is good is with a reagent testing kit. It's only $$$ for a Marquis bottle that can do around 100 tests, and that may save your life one day. You may be reluctant after buying the scale, but it really is worth the money. You can't put a price on good health haha

It's impossible to tell based on solely visual inspection whether or not you have MDMA or methylone or just clumps of sugar. Just be aware that it's common in some places for people to sell methylone as "molly" or whatever.

Reagent test kits are generally the best way to tell, unless you can get your stuff tested with a GC/MS or LC/MS. Also, in general, methylone is less intense of an experience and less potent by weight than MDMA. Some people say it lacks the "magic" of real MDMA.

Yeah, you might as well have put up pictures of sugar crystals.. the appearance usually has little to do with a drugs identity, thousands of chemicals can form crystals in their pure forms. I just thought it was kind of funny that the pictures you used to describe what you have are both from online RC vendors



Really though, there is no way to get a proper dose without a scale. Eyeballing can be off by a LARGE margin, you won't be able to get the right dose with any certainty. If your dealer weighs the bag for you (and you watch him do it, to confirm the weight) or you already know how much is there total, you can dissolve it in a known amount of water and do the math to find out what the dose is (i.e 1 gram in 10ml is 100mg per ml)

that only works if you already know the beginning weight for a fact though, and will speed degradation... just stick with the scale kiddos haha





In case anyone else was confused, which I doubt, I was not telling the OP he likely had methylone. I simply stated the pictures he posted have been advertised as an RC on various websites, and that he should not trust something just because the crystals look nice. The only appearance you should be judging your drugs by is the appearance of a reagent reaction.

As has been stated numerous times above, there is no way to identify what a substance is, or isn't by any means other than a chemical test. Scales as said are a good idea, the more accurate you can afford the better.
