Conflicting reports on this subject have been observed from doing local and broad internet searches and thus this post is being made. Reports about Butalbial being both highly water soluble and extremely non-soluble are noted, as well as conflicting extraction techniques. Safety requires a proper answer in regards to how to (if possible) extract this substance and the APAP from Fioricet with Codeine.
Now then, if a person were to want to extract only the codeine (though caffeine with the codeine would be acceptable if required) from Fioricet with Codeine capsules (Butalbital/APAP/Caffeine/Codeine) how would one go about this properly? Due to conflicting reports on process and solubility factors, the exact procedure (if even possible) is in question. Does a standard cold water extraction work in this regard? Thanks in advance for any help.
