Promethazine dosage

I was wondering what's the maximum dose of Promethazine you can take before it's really bad?

I'm currently at 75mg and it used to make me sedated/drowsy but it does nothing now - is this a common problem?

Can I go over the 100mg mark in one go? I'm already over the limit as it says not to take more than two tablets (for adults for sedation) and I'm taking three.

Also, on the box it says "exposure of the skin to strong sunlight must be avoided" - why is this?

Promethazine doesn't get you high. Try over the counter diphenhydramine (Benadryl) if you need help falling asleep.

I take it to add to the sedation effect of the codeine. I know promethaIne itself doesn't get you high but I do enjoy it with codeine. So could I take over 100mg?

ive taken to much before and it had delirium effects. blurry vision and memory problems along with a dry mouth. what about the other antihistamines. diphenhydramine or doxlyamine. Seroquel it kinda like promethazine but stronger with less side effects. but its an antipsychotic and needs a scipt. I think Seroquel actually is an antihistamine and promethazine is a weak antipsychotic.
promethazine isn't a pleasant feeling. if u can a tolerance to it u may get insomnia without it. it makes u really thirsty too.
I thought promethazine felt stronger than diphenhydramine at there highest recommended doses on the pack. But im not sure which is stronger. they actually give doxylamine as a sleeping pill but that felt weaker too.
